The room is nicely decorated, the bed comfortable and it was immaculately clean. We ate at the resteraunt for both diner and breakfast, both of which were good. We also had a couple of drinks at the bar and they have some nice outside spaces for good weather. The staff were also pleasant and helpful.
We stayed in room 5. On the floor above the room is part of the staff accomodation and noise from the room intruded into our room quite significantly, including a very loud washing machine as we were getting ready in the evening, but more importantly at the end of the night there was noise from people talking and moving about. Personally, I think they would do well to put guests in this room as a last resort due to the amount of noise transfer from the staff rooms.
The only other issue we had was upon arriving for breakfast we found the bar area was still being cleaned. Though the cleaner was a nice friendly lady, having someone hoover and mop around the area whilst breakfast is being servered is poor planning.

The stairs into the room, interior is pretty and room is spacious. Very nice room that has a lot of character.

Lovely building and garden, very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have time for breakfast so can't comment on that. The bed was a bit hard for me, but that's probably personal choice. The room was also extremely hot, but I guess in this weather i couldn't expect much else. Overall I was happy.
The room was extremely hot, but as I said before in this weather, without aircon, what can you expect. The key to the room door was very difficult to use/open. I left too early to to be able to comment to the staff.
Nothing they accused me of smoking in my room when I didnt. The walls were covered in crap the shower was filthy and it was way to hot and people were up and down all night

This time we stopped for an overnight to break a long journey, but stayed here in the past when we visited the NEC.
We always feel welcome and the food from the dinner menu is exceptional. As usual, the room was clean and in perfect working order despite the age of the building.
I didn't have breakfast.

Room is very dark and the only window looks onto the bar courtyard so very little privacy

Spotless comfortable rooms at an extremely good price. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Dinner was delicious (we did not have breakfast but suspect it would have been good too!)
