Room is lovely and clean, staff were very nice
Room was cold, bathroom even colder
Room well equipped evening meal excellent.
All satisfactory so no comments to make
Room was lovely and staff and food great
Nice room
Price and quality of food. If I stayed again i wouldn't eat or drink in the pub which is a shame because then you have to drive
Good location for what we needed. The shower was hot and strong.
The rooms may have been considered boutique when first decorated, but now showing signs of wear.
There were water stains on the walls from the shower in the room above.
Our shower leaked, and had tacky upvc plastic stuck over the bottom rows of tiles with stained sealant.
There was no mirror in the bedroom, with very inadequate lighting, so blow drying hair and applying makeup was difficult. Resorted to using a hand mirror in front of the window.
The staff seemed reluctant to serve, had very little interaction skills, although I do have praise for one waiter in the evening, but he was the only one. We began to feel as if they would prefer if the visitors weren't there.
The full English breakfast was poor, overcooked sausage and bacon (one slice of each), although the avocado with poached eggs and chorizo was very good.
Overpriced bar prices.
Would I stay again? No!/
Room and bed were really comfy and warm. Got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing. Wasn't expecting that! Great place if you need to travel into the airport or NEC.
Nothing really.
Room beautifully decorated
Although room is beautiful ... there were no plug points near mirror so doing makeup and hair difficult, bed was as hard as nails and all parties in both rooms got very bad nights sleep, toilet seat was broken in one room and stayed that way the 4 days stay, which showed all the dirty of the toilet hinges.
You can hear noise of music downstairs and next door ...
Car park free and ample. Room was warm and clean. Waitress was good and lady on reception the second breakfast serving was very good. Breakfasts were good.
Shower was tiny and temperamental. Temperature went from lukewarm to boiling hot and we both scalded our hands in the shower and the basin. Nowhere to do your hair and makeup in the room. Lighting dim. Service the first night in the restaurant was ridiculously slow - offered complimentary desserts but we ate elsewhere the second night. Dressing table drawers are too small to put anything in - nowhere to put underwear, socks, etc.
Comfortable, clean, attentive staff, excellent food, good location.
