The hotel's location was ideal for my stay, as it was conveniently situated close to the work event I was attending, making travel to and from the venue quick and hassle-free. There was also plenty of parking available, which made arriving and leaving very straightforward. On top of that, the staff provided a warm welcome and were exceptionally friendly and professional during the check-in process. Their helpful attitude created a great first impression and contributed to a positive overall experience from the moment I arrived.
The room was acceptable for a short stay, but there were several issues that detracted from the overall experience. The windows had visible cobwebs, which made the room feel as though it had not been cleaned thoroughly. The room was also uncomfortably hot, and with no air conditioning or fan available, it became difficult to cool down. Unfortunately, the window would not open either, leaving no way to improve ventilation. The shower itself would have been perfectly adequate, but the drainage was very poor. Water did not drain away quickly enough and would accumulate in the tray before spilling out from beneath the shower door onto the bathroom floor, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.
The check in staff were excellent, the room was very comfortable and breakfast amazing.

Really nice place and the bedrooms were done to a high standard. Really delicious food and drinks. We had a lovely chilled time away.
The lady serving us at breakfast was great and although on her own serving still had a smile and made us feel welcome. Lots of parking.
Some staff could have been happier, they were a bit flat. Mattress was a tad hard which is a shame in a high spec room. Music went on at 7.40am and was a speaker under our room... It was louder in room 12 than it was in the bar
This place is beautiful and has loads of character, over 400yrs old and the room we stayed in was just gorgeous with exposed beams and a lovely ensuite.
We ate in the restaurant the night before and the pork & scallop dish is just delicious!
The traditional breakfast is lovely too.
All the pillows on the bed in room 9 lacked firmness, so I struggled to get comfortable. The room lacked a dairy alternative for the tea & coffee set, though I’m sure there would’ve been some options if I had requested at reception (staff were really very helpful, particularly Adele who is lovely).
Despite breakfast being fully included in the rate a cappuccino was an additional charge, which was a bit of a shame.
The lady who signed me in and was there at breakfast was so friendly and welcoming.
Lovely traditional Inn. EXCELLENT service from professional, friendly staff. Good quality food. Well presented, clean bedroom and en-suite. Great location for Birmingham centre and NEC.
Considering I don’t usually sleep very well if I’m away from my family I felt really comfortable. Lovely warm shower, very spacious room great amenities. Will definitely stay again if I’m next at a work event nearby.

Recommendation for a local taxi needs deleting. Failed to turn up despite a number of calls and I missed my train home.
