We had a wonderful stay at this property. The facilities were amazing — including tennis, basketball, volleyball, squash, and a pool — which made our time there so enjoyable, especially since the estate is located a bit away from other places. There was always something fun to do. They also offered a late check-out option for a small fee, which was super helpful and really appreciated. Overall, a great experience!
The family room we stayed in was slightly outdated, particularly the bathroom. The shower did break, but thankfully it only happened on the morning of our check-out, so it didn’t impact our stay too much.
The number of dining and drinking options.
No lift, or help with taking luggage to your room.
Beautiful building and facility , clean and well maintained . Great outdoor spaces and great views from the restaurant
The kitchen / pantry fittings were old and not well stocked plates - cutlery . The kitchen door lock also was not working to open from outside .
The location, the pool, building was appealing.
1. We arrived at 2pm check in and had to wait 1.5-2 hours for the 3 family rooms to be ready.
2. The family rooms did not have fly screens, so we had an abundance of insects, including on the bed!
3. The Wild water restaurant- we had to wait around 1.5hours after ordering to get our food. We were there for a 40th birthday, so this diminished our experience
Lovely breakfast location was peaceful
Location and our room bed excellent it had a balcony and great views but I think ours was the only one, the pool and gardens really nice
The stairs and dark hallways our stay they were under staffed and being holiday season should have had more open for a Thursday and Friday nothing in evenings restaurant not open on Thursday so had to drive to Seymour to get dinner
Location. View. Walking track. Fresh air. Quiet. Peaceful
Service from staff when walking in, "do you have a booking?", blank stare, always a bad start.
Waiting on service in restaurant, waiting in bar, always waiting to be noticed by staff for service. Being charged, a days wage for breakfast, we thought was included in price.
There needs to be another mirror outside of the bathroom.. When 2 people are getting ready for a function having just the bathroom available to prepare makes things difficult. Also maybe it needs to be made aware that the doors will be locked after a certain time and you need a passcode to get in, and where that pass code is.. Sorry duty manager for the 12:30 am phone call
We had a last minute booking, just for the night but that quick stay has definitely opened our eyes to what we want to do and where we want to go as a family for our next get away ;) coming from Adelaide, trawool estate is our next holiday destination 😊😊
Personal preference, the bed was wayyyyy to soft for my liking. But thats simply just my own issue
Beautiful. Spotlessly clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable - slept right through to alarm.
It was great. Nothing to improve upon.
Beautiful setting with lovely views across the valley. Comfortable and well appointed room. Cheerful and friendly staff. With a bit of work this place would easily become a stellar place to stay.
Kitchenette needs a reno. Room service would be appreciated. Better training of bar staff. Breakfast not available until 8:30am is just too late for travellers.
We love everything about Trawool, the facilities, the staff, the quality of the food.
This was our second time staying here
We both decided this is a must do break whenever we are travelling to Melbourne, set in a beautiful country location, it's very relaxing and we both feel very refreshed after a stay.
There's nothing to dislike about staying here
