Très bel endroit. Calme au bord du lac. Les chambres sont magnifiques et décorées avec goût.

Could do with some maintenance, food choices but unfortunately due to the US/ Iran conflict the tourist numbers were down hence the lack of many choices

En natur runt omkring som var härlig, lugn och ro och fina hus som i sig behöver lite omvårdnad.
Väldigt bra personal, glada, trevliga och omtänksamma.
Liyya water Villas är ett häftigt ställe med mycket potential.
Men ganska slitet. Det skulle behöva lite omvårdnad.
Mer kuddar på stolar , färg i hörnet samt wifi!
Wifin var obefintlig och när man dessutom måste beställa tuktuk eller bil för att ta sig någonstans blev det svårt utan wifi.

The setting around the lake with individual cabins was delightful and why I booked here.
Very quiet and peaceful, (unless the staff are walking back to their accommodation at the end of shifts).

Take away breakfast was excellent. (We had an early departure one morning).
The iron and board was a lovely find, but was only usable by rearranging the furniture.
Food was not good. Breakfast was cold and a very odd selection. Coffee undrinkable! Even the fresh fruit choice was limited and no bananas!
Lighting in the bedroom had a will of it's own. Different switches would work at different times!
There was no top sheet on the bed, just a quilt/duvet, far too hot. Sheet was supplied when asked for, so all good.
I do NOT expect clean towels and bedding daily, but I do expect a hotel of this caliber to automatically check each room daily to make the bed, empty the bins and a quick sweep of the floor. (Ours was very dirty) which they didn't do. Only on request. When we asked for that on day 2 it didn't happen as they were too busy!?!
Much further away from Dambulla Town and Sygiria than we expected. No where else to go to eat out in an evening.
No Outside furniture on the terrace, my husband had to lug out the arm chairs from our room, too heavy for me to lift!

The property is beautiful but needs manteinance.
There are a lot of loser animals in the property: dogs, duck, turkeys, chickens, cats, monkeys.

WiFi is intermittent and not suitable for those in need of a daily social media fix as there was no 4G either,

The bar is terrible the quality of alcohol got me sick the staff arnt well trained and even forgot to put something on my bill and called me days later
