- The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, which is perfect for a relaxing getaway.
- The spa center is well-equipped, offering a variety of treatments and several sauna rooms. (We did not try any of the treatments, so we can’t comment on their quality.)
- We stayed in one of the villa apartments on the hotel premises, and only upon arrival did we learn that access to the pool area was not included with our stay (there’s nothing else to do in the area…). This was not made clear in the Booking.com listing, and it’s a significant oversight, especially given that the spa is a major selling point. When we raised this at checkout, the receptionist’s response was dismissive. She insisted that it wasn’t their responsibility because Booking.com is a separate website and blamed us for misunderstanding. We tried to explain that they can provide clearer information on their listing, but the conversation was met with resistance and no real willingness to improve the guest experience.
- Disappointing wine tour: Communication prior to our stay was in English, and we were offered two wine tour options via email (in English): one for 30 BGN and one for 40 BGN. We asked to book the 30 BGN tour, but were later told that only the 40 BGN option was available, so we agreed to that. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that the tour was conducted entirely in Bulgarian, despite all previous communication being in English and no mention of language limitations. When we raised the issue, the guide initially responded with attitude but eventually provided a basic summary in English. During our conversation afterwards, we asked what would have happened had we explicitly stated in advance that we needed an English tour. The guide said they would have split the group into two, suggesting that the 30 BGN tour was in fact possible, but simply not offered to us. This gave the impression that the more expensive option was pushed unnecessarily.
The tour itself was underwhelming: two videos with no context, a brief overview of the wine-making process, and a disorganized wine tasting. Back in the lobby for the tasting, the guide spent the first 10 minutes selling wine to two guests instead of engaging the group.

Yemekler..restoran.insan ilişkileri kaba ve itici..
We felt like millionaires in this hotel. You get way more than you pay for. The views and nature around it are breathtaking. All of the accommodations and the food at the restaurant are classy and luxurious. The sports center makes it heaven for a sports enthusiast. Amazing brand new children’s play ground as well which makes it perfect for families with children.
The Wi-Fi connection was not the best but we were still able to make use of it.
On the other hand, what we absolutely loved was the wine and the spectacular food. The chef they have is brilliant, and every meal we had was delicious. The dining experience was a highlight of our stay, and we couldn't get enough of the amazing cuisine.
We specifically booked a stay at the Midalidare Spa Hotel as we were considering it as a potential wedding venue, based on the stunning pictures and glowing marketing. However, once we arrived, we were quickly dissuaded.
The cleanliness throughout the property was not up to the standard we anticipated. For instance, the showers in our room were covered in black mold, and the floors felt dirty and poorly maintained. This left a bad first impression, especially when considering it for such an important event.
The spa, one of the highlights we were looking forward to, was a big letdown. It has clearly not been kept up and appears to be in disrepair. There was visible water damage on the spa roof, and to make matters worse, the spa bar was closed due to staff shortages, further diminishing the experience.
In addition, the wedding offer we received from their team was underwhelming and did not match the high standards we had hoped for based on their marketing. Combined with the state of the property, we quickly decided this was not the right venue for our wedding.
For the price of the rooms and how the property is portrayed online, we were left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations, and we hope the management takes steps to improve these issues soon.
Was traveling for the fifth time to Midalidare Hotel. as always, everything is great there 👍.
