I don't recommend anyone should stay here for any reason. Just awful.
Pros:

There's not a lot to like about this unfriendly, grubby pub. It is in a good location for the bike park and motocross, but you would be much better off staying an hour away at a nice hotel and driving the rest in the morning.

Cons:

Everything about this place is cheap and grubby. One tiny bar of soap in the shower room, no shampoo or shower gel. A terrible electric shower that just goes to a trickle if you want any warm water. Loose toilet seat. Terrible, uncomfortable beds. An truly awful "no choice at all" breakfast consisting of a pile of the cheapest, ingredients they can find. A jar of supermarket instant coffee for you to help yourself to. Gee, thanks.
Oh, yeah and you have the pleasure of being chased for extra cash if you actually request a breakfast.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Pros:

Nothing! We payed for 2 nights but left after the first

Cons:

The rooms were derelict. It really is dangerous to stay here. There is multiple extension leads sprawled across the bedroom floor. The hallways are blocked with bags and bags of dirty laundry and towels. If there was a fire you wouldn’t get out!!! The ceilings were falling in. The rooms were filthy. I have never stayed in such a dirty run down place. The shower head was held to the wall with wire. The tv Arial was hanging from a curtain pole with a metal clothes hanger. There was a cupboard in the room full with Christmas decorations. There was a door from the bathroom to the hallway.
We booked 2 triple rooms as there were 5 lads sharing. We were there for the Mick Extance Experience that is down the road. Which is awesome by the way! We are all builders so we’re happy to not stay in a posh hotel but seriously this place is dangerous! We had to stay the first night as it was late by the time we arrived. But after a days riding we all decided we were not going to stay another night so decided to pack up our bits and stay at a pub 10 minutes down the road.

Welsh Fawlty Towers
Pros:

Reminded me of fawlty towers, staff were lovely but food was very basic and room was extremely out dated, peeling wall paper, uncomfortable bedding, no shower. For what we paid I would expect better I’m afraid

Cons:

Updated cleaner more welcoming room, better choice of breakfast, working WiFi

AVOID AVOID AVOID
Cons:

Drove 200 miles with my son to stay before a bike race. The owner had doubled booked the room (as he had done with others). Tried to offer us a caravan as substitute. Book here only if you want to gamble whether you have a room to stay in or not!

great location and food but room disappointing.
Pros:

The location was great for us local to the bike track. We had a evening meal food was great very tasty good size portions. Lovely atmosphere in bar/lounge View from room was pretty good of the hills. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Good size room with en suite. Bed was comfy and did have a good nights sleep.

Cons:

Room was very dated in need of a good makeover. curtains hanging, dressing table drawers falling off not closing properly
window doesn't close and falling off, Stained carpets, we only had 1 cup in room, no milk to make coffee asked for extra cup and milk was given milk in a jug with no way of keeping it cool /fresh as no fridge in room. Walls with plaster falling off walls very dirty in need of a paint job. This could be a really lovely room just needs a good up date. A bit overpriced for the condition of the room.

Clean room and bathroom, fair price for 1 night for a room for 4.
Pros:

Room was very clean, bathroom was very clean too, quiet place, food in the pub.

Cons:

No shower, TV with no remote control, overall a bit shabby, no one to hand back the key at 9am on Sunday so we just left them on a console.

Decent option on a budget in a nice location
Pros:

Friendly staff, despite the fact we turned up plastered in mud on mountain bikes and at £35 pppn including breakfast it met our limited budget, family rooms worked well for a group of friends. Standard pub food, rooms were warm, met expectations for the price point. Good location for riding and visiting Pistyll Rhaeadr etc.

Cons:

Not pristine clean (although neither were we, so that wasn't a high priority!) And could maybe have done with a bit more soap/ shampoo/ mugs in the family rooms.
