Very friendly people and amazing views
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at this family‑run bar and restaurant in Snowdonia. From the moment we arrived, Mr Williams was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and every member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. Their hospitality made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it for an extra night. Our room had a stunning view — surrounded by mountains, beautiful terrain, and the kind of peaceful scenery that makes you slow down and appreciate where you are. In the evenings, the sky was filled with millions of stars, creating the most magical atmosphere to end the day.

A truly memorable stay. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Snowdonia.

Cons:

Flying bugs.

Very accommodating and friendly people. Check in was simple and the room was very comfortable.
Pros:

In the valley of the Snowdonia area, quite remote but situated well for day trips. Rooms above the tavern so had access to the bar for ice/ drinks and food. WiFi in the tavern was good, room was clean and bed very comfortable, an old TV is available for something to watch before sleeping as there is very much nothing to do in the small village. Early morning drive up north could see the haar/ clouds below the mountain peaks.

Cons:

No air conditioning (understandable), the wifi was not strong enough to reach the room but 4G was still working (didn’t use internet much anyway), no portable fan. The shower had great pressure but the shower head a bit fiddly.

There must surely be a better place to stay locally!
Pros:

The proximity to a venue we wanted to visit

Cons:

Everything! 5 bags of laundry waiting to be collected in the porch: 2 vacuum cleaners in reception and a stale musty smell: grubby bar and stairs leading to the room: the barren room itself!

We had a very enjoyable one night stay while we were visiting friends in the area.
Pros:

The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable .the staff were very welcoming . The location was peaceful it was lovely to hear the birds singing. We will defiantly book again . Thank you .

Cons:

The outside looked a bit run down ,I know it’s early in the season but removing the weeds and tidying up the flower pots would make it more welcoming. First impressions count. All the cigarette butts could be swept up too.

The road up the mountain side and over the top was superb scenery, but I forgot that 20 miles in this location isn’t a 2
Pros:

On its own away from the pub, which was appreciated because we had a young seven-year-old grandson,, who was retired and struggles to sleep in a new environment.

Cons:

I think you might call it work in progress? Obviously had new central heating put in recently, from the sight of the copper pipes everywhere. And the property was nice and warm., With hot water for the shower. The ground floor was just a half fitted kitchen units and the TV on the wall. We were only there for one night so I didn’t really matter as we had two bedrooms and the bathroom to ourselves, which was all we expected.
