Location was perfect for me to visit family. Short walk to ferry to Torpoint. Key entry so I can come home anytime at night. Beside the park to chill out and cafe does a great choice for breakfast. Also quiet pub just around the corner and local co-op shop nearby.

La chambre est très bien équipée et confortable. La salle de bain aussi. C'est très calme. L'hôtel est bien placé avec des bus emmenant dans le centre et c'est très simple pour se garer. Un beau et grand parc se trouve juste à côté.
The quiet location and comfortable room. Good availability of on street parking, I was able to secure a space daily approximately 10-20m from the hotel.
Nothing.
Close to location I needed. Lovely outlook from bedroom at front of property. Felt quite private.
Couldn’t unlock front door at times as key did not work properly/ lock kept sticking. Had to be let in twice.
Our hostess gave us a really friendly welcome and apologised in case we were offended with one noisy guest. Didn't hear a thing so not an issue. Everything as it should be with a very clean and tidy room.
Nothing to dislike and only one level of stairs for us 75 year olds. No biggy.
Found room very comfortable and clean. Ate out as visiting friends and for a funeral.
Weather (rained most times) but managed to meet up despite this.
Lovely people, fabulous place.
Nice hotel very friendly staff/owner
Value for money and location
Booked a table in the restaurant - we had a late morning funeral at the Park Crematorium and, afterwards, we wanted a chance to relax, eat and generally share time with each other. When we arrived, we found our table (set for 18!!!) and found everything so relaxed and reassuring. Of course, the routine here is that you have to go up and order & pay up front at the bar - which we all did with no hassle at all. Not only that, the staff (and chef!) did their very best and we all got our meals at the same time …and they were all hot and tasty. This is a feat that seems to defeat many other restaurants catering for much smaller groups so I am indebted to them all for their stirling service in keeping us (and the many other diners) happily fed & watered. Not only that, the location gives wonderful views over the Barbican and the Hoe. Well done. I would recommend this venue most highly.
Lovely location and good selection of meats and vegetables for Sunday Carvery, but badly let down by front of house staff attitudes and very poor standards of cleanliness in the restaurant.
This was our second visit to the establishment for a Carvery in three weeks. The first occasion was to celebrate a birthday with around 15 people, and it's fair to say the restaurant was busy. We therefore understood that the member of staff allocating us a table was a bit distracted and short with us. The tables were so dirty that our arms stuck to them, and I personally placed serviettes around my plate to avoid the stickiness. I didn't want to add to the pressure on staff, or put a dampener on the party, so didn't seek assistance.
It was therefore disappointing to give it a second chance by returning on Sunday 10th, this time as a small, family party of 3 adults, a toddler and a baby. Once again, the food was amazing, but we were disappointed to witness the server from behind the counter and the chef taking a break outside, vaping and smoking. The door to the outside was slightly ajar, allowing smoke and cold air in, which affected our table directly opposite.
The tables and floor were marginally better than on our previous visit, but were still sticky in places, and it all felt as if it needed some proper cleaning to remove the greasy tackiness.
In short, good food, but a lot of room for improvement in cleanliness.
