Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located near the main road of Rantepao and even by foot it takes you only 20 minutes to downtown. Their staff is really friendly and helpful, especially when you can speak Bahasa Indonesia a little. We didn't have dinner but breakfast was very good. If you order in advance (the evening before) you will get it quite fast.

Cons:

The rooms are a little plain but clean. Unfortunately there is no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby/restaurant area. One has to ask for toilet paper. Also there are a lot of 'village noises' around (dogs barking and roosters crowing 24/7).

Ruheinsel in Rantepao
Pros:

Klassisches Homestay, in dem es leicht fällt, Kontakt zu anderen zu knüpfen. Haben uns gerne dort aufgehalten, leckeres Essen, schöner Garten. Das Zimmer war einfach aber sauber. Gute Möglichkeit Guides kennenzulernen, um Zeremonien und Veranstaltungen zu besuchen. Würden wieder dort buchen.

Pros:

Compared to the noisy and busy city center, you'll find wonderful peace and relaxation here. The beautiful garden and the excellent food help you unwind. The room is very spacious and spotlessly clean, with a large bathroom and hot water. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Short and value for money hotel.
Pros:

It has a restaurant inside, even though I didn’t eat. They let me check in. There was hot water unlimited - that’s a big plus in Indonesia- they rented out a motorcycle with a fairly reasonable price.

Pros:

Gute Lage, sehr schöner Garten. Die Zimmer zweckmäßig der Flur dorthin war bei uns sehr dunkel.

Cons:

Schlechte Verständigungsmöglichkeiten, da nur wenige Englisch sprechen. Man lebt quasi in einer Familie. Die Kinder spielen um einen herum. Die Essenszubereitung dauert ziemlich lange, am besten vorbestellen und dann dauert es immer noch.

Pros:

Grounds are lovely, public areas nice, friendly fellow guests, next to best restaurant in town, Neena.

Cons:

Cold sink water, cold shower if a lot of guests (like warm sometimes in late afternoon, lighting just horrible, towels out of the 1950s,, no wifi in rooms, you get what pay for!

Vale o preço vs qualidade.
Pros:

A homestay é super limpa. Limpam os quartos todos os dias. O pessoal é super simpático e o jantar é muito bom. Fica no centro da cidade mas virado para uma zona de estar verde muito agradável.

Cons:

A internet só funciona no espaço comum. A água do banho é ok mas não é quente.
