Important information:

Family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and one child, or 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are not suitable for more than 2 adults.

Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season

For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. "Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen"

When booking 7 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Lovely Relaxing getaway
Pros:

The facilities on the resort were great. We all loved going swimming. The food at the hotel was delicious and great choices at breakfast. The Hotel is also dog friendly so our little dog loved her holiday too! will definitely be back!

Dissapointing value for money
Pros:

The staff were friendly

Cons:

No food on site. This isn’t made clear. The fish bar which is advertised as open and no booking required in fact serves no food.
The rooms are a little tired looking.

On the whole a pleasant stay. I would certainly visit again.
Pros:

Breakfast was exceptional, staff very friendly and accommodating. The outside area was extensive and very pretty.

Cons:

No facility in the hotel for meals other than breakfast. We had to go to a nearby hotel for our evening meal.

Very convenient location, exceptionally clean. Professional staff.
Pros:

Swift and friendly check in. Very nice room and good breakfast. Friendly bar staff.

Aviemore resort
Pros:

Friendly staff. Perfect location

Cons:

Corridors clean but the walls inside rooms need paint refreshed. A lot of long dark hairs in the shower! Food at breakfast was cold and given cost there was not much choice for coelics requiring gluten free.

Love Aviemore
Pros:

Transferred to the Highland hotel which meant I was next to the leisure centre which was the reason for booking the hotel initially. Room was very comfortable.

Cons:

The bathroom was a bit small for the size of the room. Only a small shelf above the sink to leave your toiletries to hand.
