Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season

For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. "Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen"

When booking 7 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

1 night stay, disappointing
Pros:

Location for aviemore is excellent, accepts dogs, which is different from being dog friendly! Pool was good for 7 year old with wave machine and a small flume which she loved, beautiful shop, didnt use soft play but looked good.

Cons:

The dog friendly room was up a lift and then through numerous corridors and other doors, our dog is fine with that but I wouldn't say its ideal for pets. The bedding was clean but the room needed more of a thorough clean. Really dusty, dirty carpet, bathroom dust etc. Dog area at dinner in aspects was at low tables so dinner on knee, but nice place to sit. Location is fantastic, it was 1 night we stayed extending on from a week in a house rental. Loved landmark, steam train, cairngorm reindeer experience, funicular. Hotel would be lucky to get 3 stars now which is a shame as it used to be great but very disappointed in maintenance and cleanliness. Asked to speak to manager on departure but given email address. Reply was nice but offered best rate for another stay, sorry, but I wouldn't stay again, id look at the Premier Inn or elsewhere in Aviemore.

Rooms dated and expensive for what it is, hotel is an odd layout having to go through fire doors to get to rooms. Lots of builders staying

Enjoyed our stay and will defo book again.
Pros:

Great pool facility that was free of charge, we used it twice during our stay. Soft play area was also great for the kids.
