Family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and one child, or 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are not suitable for more than 2 adults.
The credit/debit card used to book a pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.
Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season
For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. "Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen"

Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Room waa smelling damp and holes in wall were old fixings were. Put in a disabled access room a didn't book this. Shower wasn't the best
Changed booking of rooms, then said time would be ready for it wasn't when we requested pmenty of notice for early check in as had bolkkngs for sons birthday. The woman behind counter unfortunately had to deal with this even though was not her fault.
The hotel is so dated well the Aviemore one is. The cleanliness of rooms is shocking.
The cleanliness, dated not worth the money to stay there for one night. Sons bed was on top of severely stain Z bed mattress which stank. Some blood stained marking on wall and black marks and paint damage everywhere in rooms.
The property itself was fine, location good, the restaurant giovannis was beautiful i would highly recommend it
The staff were awful, barman we got was horrendous had no clue where or what anything was, think he was making up the prices, a large vodka no mixer and pint was £24. Our room wasn’t clean stains on bedding about inch of dust smelt damp was not worth money
Great room for us and our children - large bed for us and bunk beds for the children. Comfy beds and room really clean. Lovely breakfast . Play ground, activities and pool all great for them. Aspects restaurant lovely food. Staff lovely and polite.will be coming back.

Personalen var trevlig. Rent överallt.
Hotellet borde rivas. Det luktar mögel i korridoren och på rummet, inredningen är sliten. Hotellet är inte underhållet alls sedan de är byggt. Det fanns knappt inte någonstans att äta. Restaurangen var stängd. Fullbokat på de flesta mat ställen i det lilla Aviemore.

Das Resort selbst liegt sehr gut und wird auch schön gepflegt, das Hotel aber ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Badezimmer wurde aber renoviert.
Beim Eingangsbereich kleben die Griffbereiche der Schwingtür und auch beim Frühstücksraum, welcher am Abend als Aufenthaltsbereich dient (der andere gegenüber der Rezeption war in Ordnung), klebte beim Frühstück der Boden und unser Tisch, was wirklich nicht notwendig ist.

Looked like a prison camp, nothing like the photos, felt depressing and tired, walls all marked, not dirty but not clean, got a twin bedroom but one bed was a sofa bed
Great location, swimming pool on site
Room could have done with a deep clean. Thick dust around the skirting boards and found crisps on the floor under the bed. Reception staff and bar staff looked disinterested and no info given about breakfast timings and location of facilities. Had to
keep going back to ask.
