Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season

For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. "Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen"

Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Before you book.......
Pros:

The location is perfect. The soft play area is great.

Cons:

Pool is very cold. No accurate info on booking about what facilities are open and when. Not being allowed to use shampoo and shower gel in the showers at the pool is madness. I didn't like paying £150 a night for somewhere with no open restaurants. The only on site option for food was the Italian at another hotel but only if you wanted takeaway pizza or chips. No sit in customers. This information should be conveyed to customers before booking. Not ideal when travelling with children.

The room was comfortable and clean. Had a good nights sleep and extra bed was provided for my child.

Cons:

The room, and the corridor leading to it, smelled strongly of bleach. We asked the staff to review it and move us to another room, but no one came.

Great stay in a great place
Pros:

Room was nice pillows abit soft for my liking. Breakfast was amazing lots of choice and was very flavourful. Location was great just a very short walk into the centre of Aviemore. On site the swimming pool and soft play were great and even better that they were included in the price. Overall it was a great stay and we will be back for sure.

Cons:

The hotel itself could do with a touch up of paint here and there. But overall it was lovely

Pros:

The location. Aviemore is lovely.
Breakfast itself and most breakfast staff was nice.

Cons:

Some reception staff were not helpful specially the older ones.
The double bed mattress was made of two single poor mattresses. - very uncomfortable and denied to be replaced when asked.
The swimming pool's overall temperature -water and air was cold.
Bedroom toilet taps did mix hot and cold water - you either have one or another- can't understand this in this day and age.
