Family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and one child, or 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are not suitable for more than 2 adults.
The credit/debit card used to book a pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.
Please be aware that some restaurants including Spey Burger at Macdonald Aviemore Resort will be seasonal, but at least one of our restaurants will be open during low season
For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package you can enjoy a £25 spend towards food in one of our restaurants. "Children aged 12 and under can stay and take breakfast for free when sharing a suitable room with two adults. Child dinner will be charged separately dependent on menu chosen"

Please be aware that Thunder in the Glens event will be taking place on resort from the 22nd - 24th August 2025 inclusive. This event will cause elevated noise levels due to being a motorcycle event, and there will also be live music being played around the resort until late evening.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Kids enjoyed the Pool and were very happy there. Staff was nice but not really interested in feedback during check out.
Very tired rooms and stairs/hallways. Not too clean. Sofa bed was uncomfortable and room quite small. Breakfast was ok but for 180£/night would have expected cappuccino e.g. I understand it was the end of the holidays but value for money not good.
Loved the size of the room and the location.
Room was dusty in wardrobe and dirty under bed.

Checkin and pre-arrival information non existant so we were left with no information about the resort, facilities, dining options, breakfast. Really poor welcome and hospitality all round. Restaurant in hotel wasn't serving food. Cinema had massively reduced film showing despite us staying in easter holidays (previous week had multiple showings a day), children were told they were too old to use the outside playpark (they are 9 and 11!), jacuzzi in swimming pool broken, lockers in pool broken, hairdryer in room broken, no towels available at pool so we had to go back to room to fetch extras, tables left uncleared for hours, breakfast service appalling and we were sat next to a pile of AV/ lighting equipment. All just a bit rubbish for the price. Wouldn't recommend.
Es war schmuddelig und hellhörig, die Spielplätze marode. Bei der Matratze im Kinderbett drückten schon die Metall-Federn durch und an der Rezeption lief so lauf Musik, dass man kaum ein Wort vom Rezeptionisten verstand.
In den überfüllten Pool haben wir uns gar nicht erst rein getraut.
Das Gebäude sieht von aussen aus wie ein Knast und geht man durch die unendlich langen Korridore, fühlt man sich auch wie in einem.
Zum Glück waren wir nur eine Nacht da.
Location good. Grass sledging, pool and soft play were enjoyed by the kids (although these are now open to everyone, not just hotel guests)
Very run down. Housekeeping only come if you put in a request, even then they didn't bother. Emptying bins shouldn't need to be fought for. Swimming pool ran out of towels every day so had to go back to room to take them from there, then since no housekeeping you can't get dry ones. Pool lockers were a nightmare. Coffee at breakfast was undrinkable. Whole place very tired but we expected that, it was the 2 star feel for 4 star prices that upset us, everything has been stripped back and very poorly maintained. Resort is very disjointed. It is now open to the public, so stay elsewhere and use the pool, but there are zero benefits to paying the high rates and staying on site. They definitely don't value their guests in any way.
Reception staff were not supportive of error with booking and told me no family rooms were available I checked online and found rooms so they then changed their story
No towels for the swimming pool
We stayed here for a couple of nights for my daughter’s birthday, the hotel staff recommended a local company to set up balloons in the room for our arrival which was a lovely surprise for her. Breakfast buffet was good, kids loved the pool. Only a short drive to Landmark. A very happy birthday trip.
Just slight inconvenience, hand-wash in the bathroom is fixed quite high up on the wall which meant my daughter couldn’t reach it.

Window in room didn’t shut properly .Fish Bar area not comfortable and looked like a motorway cafe .
Children loved the swimming pool. Staff were welcoming & friendly.
