The bed was way too soft, super uncomfortable, but my dad was fine with it. Tiles cracked or missing, furniture old and damaged, bathroom a bit dingy (but clean enough).

Côté réception personne pour recevoir à l’arrivée et très année 1930 et mal propre…dans la chambre thermopompe très bruyante..tv non fonctionnel..pas d’eau chaude ..plancher chauffant avec aucun contrôle dans la chambre…lit trop haut genre je mesure 5’5’’ et fallu sauter pour me coucher en plus lit sur roulettes

Extremely disappointing experience – would not recommend.

My husband and I stayed here on October 16 while travelling from New Brunswick to Ontario for my grandmother’s funeral, and unfortunately, our experience was awful from the moment we arrived.

We had received written confirmation that our late check-in between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. had been approved by the property, with no additional charge. We arrived at approximately 10:05 p.m., only to find the office lights off and the front desk employee outside smoking with two other individuals.

When I approached her politely and gave her my name, she responded in an annoyed and confrontational tone, telling me the office was closed. She repeatedly sighed, acted as though we were inconveniencing her, and told us she shouldn’t even be giving us the room but would be charging us anyway. She also claimed the owner had texted me that the property was closed at 10:00 p.m., but I had received no such message. The only communication I received was the written confirmation approving our check-in between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

The situation became even more uncomfortable when she spoke to my husband in a condescending manner, saying, “I don’t think you get what I’m saying. WE ARE CLOSED.” We were left genuinely wondering whether we were expected to find somewhere else to stay, despite having a confirmed reservation and having arrived within the approved check-in window.

Shortly after we were finally checked in, two other guests arrived and were treated with the same rude and dismissive attitude. It was disappointing to see other paying customers spoken to in the same manner.

We understand that late check-ins can require special arrangements, but when a property explicitly confirms a check-in time, guests should not be made to feel like they’re doing something wrong by arriving as instructed.

Driveway & parking lot riddled with potholes

The lack of a closet for hanging clothes was disappointing. More than one waste can would have been handy (one in bathroom and one in bedroom area). There was no facility for ice and no drinking glasses provided. Also, like most hotels/motels, this one did not offer a CAA nor senior discount. That was a first for us!

No disposable coffee cups in the room to take with and no ice

There was only 1 table in the room and the TV was on top of it so there was nowhere to put bags besides the floor and nowhere to do reports for my job.

It was quite and clean

The cream was chunky in the fridge and there were stains on the blanket and pillow cases.
