Man schläft quasi am Parkplatz , zur Straßenseite
Ich war in Zimmer 108 und musste zum spa am Haupteingang vorbei und komplett durch die zugige Rezeption und am großen ungemütlichen Frühstücks-/Versammlungsraum entlang, wo alle gaffen und laut sind. Man muss oft um Menschen rum, die in Straßenkleidung und mit Koffern da stehen oder rein und rauslaufen.
Die Schiebetüren nach draußen wurden dauernd offengelassen, das Personal schloss sie auch nicht, es zog eiskalt überall rein.

Das Hotel kümmert sich nicht im Geringsten um einen einzelnen Gast.

Es waren große, laute Reisegruppen da. Ein Graus.

Die Öffnungszeiten des spa sind ein ein Witz, genau genommen eine Frechheit für 110€/Nacht
(Ohne Frühstück)
Nach Bade-Tüchern für den Onsen muss man eigens fragen. Die Handtücher sind klein.

Die Damen an der Rezeption konnten keinerlei Auskunft zum Festival geben. Man händigte mir einen Plan aus mit einem falschen Markierung des Standort des Hotels.

Das Personal war auch laut und hat ständig Stühle geschoben auch wenn man am Tisch saß. Alles wurde dauernd abgeräumt ohne Rücksicht.

Das Reinigungs-Personal hat vor meinem Zimmer laut umher gearbeitet, lang vor dem Auschecken bereits ab 8:30 war der Flur voller unansehnlicher Putzaccessoirs und Wäsche, an dem ich mehrere Stunden lang vorbei musste.

Das Hotel ist total ungemütlich, es gibt keinen ruhigen, warmen Raum.

Big hotel room, best location!
Pros:

Their hotel room quite big, their warm bath is best one also! We love it! The hotel location is the best! 1 min to old town Takayama, best thing!!

Un soggiorno tipico giapponese ma al contempo elegante, moderno e confortevole
Pros:

Un bellissimo ryokan, curato in ogni dettaglio. Ho apprezzato particolarmente la cortesia del personale (parlano inglese fluentemente, cosa rara in Giappone), la degustazione di sakè gratis e il futon veramente comodo.

Cons:

Forse l'onsen non è niente di che, ne ho visti altri più belli.

Pleasant & ideally located for old street & the markets.
Pros:

Very convenient for the main attractions of Takayama. Attractive architecture that fitted into the traditional surrounds. The staff were friendly & helpful & very accommodating about my request for non feather pillows. The spa was enjoyable.

Cons:

The beds/mattresses were very hard with a ridge down the middle. At our age, getting up in the night from basically the floor was hard. A big step down to the bathroom a possible hazard for us older folks! The chairs looked nice but were a bit hard to settle in for a read. Paper cups to make tea or coffee in was a bit cheap.

Pros:

What a fabulous hotel. Wonderful location right close to the old town. We loved the lobby area where you could relax in comfy chairs.and enjoy complimentary drinks in the evening. Our room was beautiful, simple and cosy. The beds although firm were comfy also. We enjoyed the onsen and loved exploring Takayama and nearby areas. The daily food markets were close by and lots of beautiful quaint streets to wander through. The staff were attentive and friendly.
