Favourite hotel and place in Japan. Highly recommended.
Pros:

This was one of our favourite, if not our favourite place in our 3 week Japan visit. Would have liked more time here in Takayama and certainly more time at this hotel. Really nice staff, great location in Takayama, great facilities for type of hotel that it was and I loved the happy hour at 5:30 to try some free Sake and beers. Awesome. First experience of a Japanese onsen and these are super well presented and peaceful.

Cons:

They have low beds, which for some people may be a problem if you are older. However, they are comfortable beds with plenty of room around them.

Pros:

五つ星のホテルにもたくさん泊まってきたけど、そんなとこより1番好きなホテルがここです。

1人で毎年夏に泊まりますが日本人で良かったなと思わせてくれて本当にリラックスできるホテルです。

どんな高級なホテルよりも接客の良さ、空間、和の静けさを感じさせてくれるホテルです。値段もかなり安いです。

こうゆうホテルが増えてくれるといいなと感じています。

Great place to base yourself to visit the highlights of Takayama and surrounds.
Pros:

It's a nice hotel in a good location with very lovely staff. The room was spacious, great bathroom, laundry and ice. Free drinks in the evening in the bar although I didn't take advantage of that. Staff were helpful, happy to assist with baggage, taxis etc. There is lots of places to eat nearby and a convenience store next door. Air conditioner, fridge and dehumidifier was nice to have. I had breakfast included - it was a Japanese bento box style and they also had a selection of pastries, juice, tea and coffee. I asked to skip the bento box in the morning - because fish first thing in the morning isn't for me - but many of the guests enjoyed it.

Cons:

They have less requirements regarding footwear than other places so this meant the tatami and carpet were quite marked/stained. The room I was in was a bit too dark in the sleeping area and there was no natural light available. The bed was higher than a futon and they had added two comfort toppers to it - but it was still a bit firm for me. It was quite noisy - I am not sure if it was the particular guests that were staying at the same time or if it because of all of the wood finishes.

Pros:

這次入住 Hotel Wood Takayama 的體驗非常棒！最喜歡的是大廳的飲料吧，提供清酒和啤酒可以自由享用，晚上回到飯店小酌一杯，真的非常放鬆，也讓旅程更有度假的感覺。
