South Sea Villa

Stayed here 2 weeks. Very close to the surf breaks Lazy Left and Lazy Right. No need to take a trip to any of the ”turtle beaches” because you see so many sea turtles everyday while surfing or right at the beach. I had a nice room on the ground floor with AC (not the kind that makes the room freezing cold - but just perfect) and super comfortable bed. Internet was good, I signed up with a coworking space but ended up working from my room/terrace most of the time because the connection was great. Good breakfast, especially the pancakes were amazing!

Die Lage ist perfekt. Minimalistisch aber alles was man braucht und sehr sauber.

Wie wir erfahren haben, sind vor der Hauptsaison zwei Hilfskräfte abgesprungen. Dadurch macht alles ein etwas vernachlässigten Eindruck. Die wichtigsten Sachen (Zimmer, Küche, WC) sind wirklich sauber und in gutem Zustand.
Nipun der Host tut jedoch wirklich alles damit sich die Gäste wohlfühlen und das hat sehr viel Respekt verdient!!!
Das Frühstück wird jeden Tag frisch und abwechslungsreich zubereitet.
Die Lage ist direkt vor einem guten Surfspot gelegen.

Property in front of the beach. The room was big and clean, lovely place.
The owner was friendly and cooked us a nice breakfast all mornings.

Some of the best breakfast we have had during 3 weeks in Sri Lanka! Nipun is a very friendly and helpful host, helped us with getting to the airport and it was also possible to do our laundry. Lazy Left and Lazy Right are very close by, you can do all of Midigama by foot from there. Rooftop terrace was great for some yoga. Spacious room, good AC. Fantastic value for money.

Fantastic hotel 2 mins from the beach. We stayed here for 4 weeks in total, we enjoyed so much we had to come back after leaving Midigama. Nippon and Asanka are both so lovely and hospitable. The breakfast is top notch (500rs a day), every day it changes and it’s always delicious - such good value for money! There is also a lovely rooftop which has a view of the sea and sunset. The rooms are comfortable and larger than what the pictures show (tv, mosquito net, AC). Shared kitchen also available to use. We had the best dinners at Neel’s restaurant 3 mins down the road - highly recommend! Midigama in general is epic🤙🏼

Everything, perfect local to stay in Midigama.

The best place to stay in Midigama/ahangama, located right next to the surf breaks and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Nipun, the host, is an amazing guy, super friendly and ready to help you with anything you need! A home away from home, we have found our main base for whenever we want to come to the south of Sri Lanka!

Loved my stay here so much that I extended longer! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bed was comfy.
The location is amazing, easy walking distance to the main surf spots and town, but also great if you have a scooter to venture further from Midigama. Despite the location being on the main road, the room was really quiet once the door was shut.
Special shout out to Nipun who was the most welcoming and helpful host! Every day breakfast was so delicious, fresh and always different. It was so good that a few of us still came back after we had moved out (and only moving out because there was no more availability!).

Excellent location. Really well run with small touches, such as water on arrival, a mop for the bathroom, etc. Big room. Comfy bed. Great breakfast, different every day. Staff are really lovely and helpful. Location is just across the road from the beach, close to nice swimming and surfing. On a busy highway, but it is set back from the road, so we didn't have any traffic noise.

The staff is super nice. They are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is really really good. It’s a calm house with plenty of space. Also the beach is very close, which is also very convenient if you want to surf :)). It’s an easy 10/10
