Great stay
Pros:

Lovely young man took my bed to the room and welcomed us. Lovely view from the windows, room warm and bed comfortable. Breakfast excellent ,evening food very good and plentiful. Lovely old hotel and would definitely love to return.

Cons:

Lack off any atmosphere in Talbot bar, happy to eat and quickly leave, it was cold, no fire . General areas could do with a deeper clean given the number of dogs around.

Pros:

The whole package from check in to check out.
on arrival i received a warm welcome.
The breakfast was amazing and opening the door of room 12 gave me the wow factor.
I didn't stop for dinner as i was with a walking group.
The hotel location is perfect for multi centre walks, its in the middle when you are walking in Ambleside, Grasmere and Coniston.
The drying room was superb as the weather was wet, and my gear dried overnight.

Cons:

The bathroom was huge and i thoroughly enjoyed a bath after walking, i couldn't see a hand rail for support to entering and leaving the bath. That's the only thing as i like staying here, twice now.

Welcoming, warm and good food.
Pros:

Staff superb. Location excellent. Breakfast outstanding, (thank you chef!) really pet friendly. so quiet I slept like a log.

Cons:

Could just do with a slight update, bit of a deep clean but it wasn’t really owlt to complain about, I’d stay here again.

A lovely stay in a delightful place
Pros:

The room was spacious and really comfortable
The breakfast was excellent - a good selection and perfectly cooked.
The dinners were also very good
The hotel is near some great walks, and the local bus service connects to lots of buses to other areas in the Lake District

很吵，房间很闷，我整宿无法入睡。

Cons:

整晚根本无法入睡！房间晚上空气很闷。打扫也不是很干净。我无法给这一次的酒店打超过一分的评价。我一晚没睡！厕所水管响了一晚上。早上起来给酒店服务员打电话，被一句：这房子很老他们也无法解决打发了。虽然之后经理态度诚恳。但我整晚根本无法入睡。而且隔壁只要有人拖着行李走动。声音就很明显。早饭也很不满意，我因为有狗狗无法很方便取餐。我点了熏肉+番茄。当我看着菜单跟服务员说我还想要炒蛋的时候，服务员一脸不屑的看着我说？你还要另一份早餐… 我只是想再要一份炒蛋而已。
