Good service and ability to create own egg options. Would have been improved with the addition of a brown bread/granary/sourdough option.
The bar has a fire but it was not in use despite cold temperatures and the ambiance it can create.
Very comfortable and the staff made us feel very welcome
Room bins not emptied after first night
Great location; friendly efficient staff; spacious room; dog friendly. Excellent breakfast.
No control over the heat in the rooms; far too hot. Bathroom window wouldn’t open, and extractor fan didn’t work. No paperwork in the room to explain tv operation (no normal channels, but fire stick attached - not everyone knows what to do with that); or WiFi password; or room cleaning schedules (apparently alternate days), etc.
Brilliant
Relaxed friendly atmosphere and easy check in.
Bed was a little fitm
All staff were not only responsive and accommodating, but also warm and appropriately friendly with their hospitality.
Booking dot com immediately cast doubt on confirmation of the booking and gave a wrong hotel number to call for confirmation. Then a request for my estimated earlier arrival time was twisted by Booking dot com into a request to check in earlier and raised misleading expectation from the hotel staff.
Breakfast
Shabby and tired Public areas.
Breakfast lovely, location great and very dog friendly
Bar was very understocked, no cider on draught at all and ran out of bottled ciders
Good location, friendly staff.
TV in room did not work, poor shower.
Perfect area
The menu was very restrictive
Breakfast was great.
Shower went from medium to cold the steaming dangerously hot. Told reception but it was never fixed and the room was never cleaned over the 2 day stay.
Tv was broke and signal breaking up.
The bar is shut at 9pm which is a shame.
Staff were very nice and the location is fabulous.
It was disappointing that we stayed for 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned once 🙁
We spent a 4 night stay at Skelwith Bridge Hotel. Location was excellent. Food and staff were good. Room were what we would expect for the cost of our stay. Bed very comfortable, slept well. HisenseTV worked well with all channels HD quality. Room heated up quickly when turning on radiator
Only bleat would be the pressure on the electric shower which was very low but, In British fashion, we just got on with it.
