Unpretentious and comfortable. Very efficient and helpful staff. Ample parking for residents and good walks from the hotel itself.
Bumped our heads on the bathroom door in Room 7 (but we know it's a historic building, so what can you do?!?) Breakfast was okay but coffee was not great.
Breakfast was as expected self service for the majority, however cooked breakfast was available if wanted
Needed to walk outside in rain to get from reception to room door.
Bathroom had leaking sink and tap making floor unsafe.
Needed to manhandle wheelchair down 4 steps to get from reception to bar facilities else walk around outside of hotel

A tremendous hotel, lovely friendly staff, kind and accommodating with the dog. Food was excellent for both evening meal and breakfast. Lovely location, nice local walks and fabulous scenery, the room was really big, lovely and clean, easy check in and check out process, very efficient, will definitely go back.

There was nothing we didn't like.
Ample parking, good quality well cooked food, value for money and friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. I originally booked for two nights with Booking.com but then booked an extra night as I was enjoying my stay.
