One of the best stays we’ve had in Indonesia.
JavaCove is truly special. The location is probably the best in Batu Karas, you wake up every morning, look straight at the waves and immediately know whether it’s time to grab your board and go surfing. You’re also within walking distance of cafés and everything you need, while still having a beautiful, peaceful place to come back to.
The hotel itself is lovely, the pool is great, but what really made our stay unforgettable was the team. The service was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly attentive, kind and genuinely willing to go above and beyond to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We really felt that they cared about us and put so much effort into every little detail.
We spent quite a long time in Batu Karas, and JavaCove genuinely felt like home. It was one of the highlights of our trip and easily one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve had in Indonesia.
We would come back without hesitation. Thank you to the whole JavaCove team for taking such amazing care of us. ❤️

The breakfast was really nice, with yoghurt and fresh fruit.
It was not a beach hotel. A tarmac road crossing in front of the hotel. Manipulated photos, to make it appear that the hotel is straight on the beach, which it is not !

We had a very relaxing stay at this small and cozy beach hotel. The staff were wonderful, so attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was delicious and satisfying, we were able to choose a la carte menu items which they then prepared on the spot. The pool was a highlight of the hotel, it was perfectly located where you could look out to the ocean but it wasn't right next to the main road. They provided instant coffee and drinkable water in the room. The room AC unit worked really well, an essential thing to have in this hot weather.
Because of the type of window doors they have in the rooms, the outside noise from the street was not blocked off but luckily there wasn't any loud music around, it was mostly noise from cars/motorbikes. On the flip side, it was nice to hear the sounds of the ocean/wind at night.
