Good breakfast, clean room.
Needs decorating inside & outside. Grubby handrails on the stairs & old paint peeling on the front doors don’t make 1st impressions very good.

The fact that Terry rang me personally to ask how disabled my friend was! With his concerns regarding the outside steps,(room 2)
Terry and Chris were excellent hosts,giving us free excess to the coffee,tea,milk etc
They also let us keep our luggage in the hotel until our train departure,which allowed us to enjoy another day,
The rooms are lovely and clean, ( albeit small but comfortable)very warm.
The hotel has a lift on the property which is very helpful if you struggle to walk far.
Terry, Chris and staff thank you for everything,the service you provided was exceptional.
The bar is open all day if you require it,but closes at 10.30.
The breakfast is great with plenty of options available.see you both next year.
Could do with some updates,which I understand is being done in the winter months,
I'm sure they don't mind me saying that it's not ideal for anyone in a wheelchair, because of the steps and narrow corridors.

We really enjoyed are stay at the hotel very clean lovely room the owners was very welcoming and the staff was very lovely and really love the breakfast we definitely recommend

If you are travelling by train or coach this hotel is ideally located. You have everything on the doorstep such as shopping, entertainments and access to the central pier, Coral Island and the beach. Cafés and restaurants are plentiful in this area.
Even though in a busy area, it was quiet & peaceful overnight.
If you're in a car you will need to factor in the cost of parking, which is around £20 per day. Traffic wardens work all day until late at night.
The owners are pleasant and welcoming and check in was quick and easy. The hotel and our room was clean. We were pleasantly surprised that our room was serviced even though we only stayed for 2 nights ( I love having my bed made for me). The lift is modern and in good working order. The breakfast is excellent with a good selection of cold & hot food and the dining room is spacious. It is self service but there are plenty of staff around to help those who need it. Tea & coffee is freshly made and brought to your table.
Bring your own toiletries. There is handwash in the bathroom. We don't normally take our own for a short weekend away but there were none in the room.
The shower room ( with toilet & wash hand basin) was tiny. We are 5' 3" and average weight. It's unlikely that a larger person could be accommodated in the bathroom we had. This may not be the same in other rooms.
The view from the window was over the rear of the hotel, which is often the case with Booking.com rooms!
