REALLY NOT HAPPY
Great location, easy to travel.
The bed was terrible, the heating was faulty. I informed the staff, but they didn't fix it. It was noisy. I was disappointed with my stay.
Lovely greeting and groundfloor was well kept with a pool table and seating.
Stairs up to the first floor are worn through and need replacing, our room door didn't close properly, the carpet and the entrance to the room was wet, there was something splattered up the curtain, the window didn't seal properly so the room was absolutely freezing and we had to sleep in our coats, there was cigarette ash on top of the duvet nearest the window and there was no spring left in either of the mattresses. Other people staying at the hotel had little consideration for others being loud and raucous until the very early hours.
The bed was comfy thatas it

Staff was helpful
Need to clean the rooms there were food papers rubbish behind and under draws and bed the floor in bathroom stunk ov wee so not been cleaned with bleech b4 hand other than that was fine
Absolutely nothing to like about this property. Parking is nightmare there is a car park next door to the hotel which charges ridiculous price and street parking is unavailable unless you walk two or three streets away back to Hotel.
I stayed here for around four weeks, and my experience was extremely disappointing.
The staff were rude and unprofessional, particularly a young woman named Annaia who appeared to be managing the property. On one occasion I asked for my room to be cleaned, which I assumed would be standard given that this is presented as a hotel. Instead, I was told in an argumentative manner that cleaning was not included in the weekly rent and would cost extra. This was never made clear beforehand.
I also have a medical condition that causes nosebleeds when the weather is very cold. One day some blood got on the bedsheets and I politely asked for fresh sheets. Instead of any understanding, I was threatened that if I didn’t clean them myself or take them to the laundry, I would be kicked out of the room immediately. For anyone with a disability or medical condition, this kind of treatment is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of empathy.
I was even told directly — both in person and by text message, which I still have — that they “didn’t care.” The only thing they seemed concerned about was getting their money. During my four-week stay as a student, requests for fresh towels or bedding were often ignored.
Another major issue was that there was no hot water in the taps. When this was raised with staff, the response was disgraceful. I was told that they were not turning the hot water on properly because the business was “quiet.” This is completely unacceptable for any hotel or accommodation where guests are paying to stay.
The environment around the building is also very concerning. There are frequently people outside the entrance smoking drugs, including cannabis and what appears to be crack, and then going in and out of the building. Staff have been seen standing nearby and doing nothing about it. Next door there is a car park where almost every night there are people doing donuts in cars, suspected drug dealing, and sex workers coming and going.
