Great location, lovely staff and grounds. Location was great outside the city centre and very close to the park and ride we used for a day out in Cambridge.
Loved the pool, we stayed for my birthday and I love an early morning swim! And hot tub !
Room was spacious, good amount of plugs. A desk and tiny table for my partner to finish off some work from too!
Small thing but we didn't have any tiny shampoo in our room and he has forgotten it! For some reason we had lots of tiny body lotion bottles. Anyways its minor but was annoying as we showered for our big day in Cambridge.
Breakfast
Lack of sound proofing
No response from hotel manager when concerns raised
Pool area is tired
Comfortable bed
Car parking charges which we didn't see mentioned when we booked. £10 for 24hours. We were out all day so didn't need 24 hour parking.
Staff are very friendly - on reception, in the gym, young lad at breakfast.
Rooms - spacious with tea and coffee, nice bathroom and lovely sheets and bed. Comfy.
Breakfast was great - we had salmon on bagels and a full breakfast. Beautiful presentation, linen and table service.
Paying a tenner to park. Come on!! Especially as we got taxis into town so we felt ripped off.
Everything! Absolutely 5*
Nothing! All was perfection
Overall value was good. Staff member on reception was very friendly/helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Only stayed for one night to see family and friends. So comments are a bit limited.
Only bad point. For paid guests to the hotel. Be prepared to pay £10 per day to park your car on a RINGO app. Parking area not responsibility of the hotel.
The property was set in beautiful grounds. The room we stayed in was next to the spa which was convenient. It was well lit at night with beautiful fairy lights making it easy to get from bar/restsurant to the room.
The area was fantastic breakfast was good
Had a four poster room with jacuzzi bath. This was not working. Got maintenance to have a look. He couldn't fix it. He said it had broken down a couple of times recently.
Why was this not checked before check in when the room is cleaned.
Wasn't offered another room
Beautiful location. Very lovely decor. Pool really lovely ..staff friendly ..food great . Room pretty and great view
Drinks very pricy . We felt we couldn't drink too much and went to local pub.
Fantastic facilities
Lovely staff
Spa facilities were excellent
The location, close to the Cambridge park and ride
Paying £10 per day to park. There was no option of parking anywhere else unless you wanted to walk down a long lane.
Not having the room serviced. We were asked if we wanted it servicing when we checked in. We said yes. We returned from a busy day to find the room had not been serviced. Then having reported it to reception, tea and coffee were restocked, but nothing else was done.
Service was slow and at breakfast we didn't get what we ordered! The buffet breakfast was not restocked. Evening meal disappointing.
Nice staff
Food just wasn’t great. Steak was pretty woeful for the price. Breakfast was just terrible. Awful sausages and bacon and empty orange juice that wasn’t refilled. Just not up to modern standard hotels like holiday inn etc
Awful place, we were there for 2 hours and went home due to how bad the place was
Food was awful, there was plastic in my dish and my partners food was terrible
Beautiful room in a lovely old part of the hotel. Fabulous four poster bed which was very comfy. Nice surroundings
Good meal in restaurant - excellent waiting staff
Unclear signage to our room (we got lost!)
Fire alarm went off (false alarm) at 10.30pm but no information given until I eventually got reception on the phone (after many attempts!)
Received a random phone call on room phone at 1.10am!!!!
Jacuzzi bath didn’t work
No fridge in room
Parking by private firm which took me 25 minutes after a long journey to set up the phone app (no Wi-Fi outside !) - £10.50 for 24 hours … we only needed from 5pm til 8am!
Not at all the relaxing break we were expecting !!!
The air vent was so noisy during the night. The pillows were hard.
Bedroom was nice and clean.
Breakfast was good howver we wanted to swop the baked beans with black pudding and was charged for this. Also my wife wanted poached eggs and was served scrabbled eggs.
restaurant and the quality of the dinner and breakfast, swimming pool, sauna and steam room, all the staff we met, comfy beds and pillows, location near the park and ride and the ice rink
Jacuzzi bath didn't work, having to pay for parking out in a field, potholes on local roads, difficult room safe to use, room was cold when we first arrived so had to figure out how to turn on all the wall radiators
