for a 4 people family with two 8 yr ols kids a som and daughter there was only one big bed and another smaller cot

Rooms and decor a little tired, but everything clean.

Few things wrong with first room, plug sockets didn’t seem to be working with the 3 chargers we brought ourselves, small blood/ dark food stain on pillow case. No lock on bathroom door at all, not even a catchment to close the door. Standing desk top fan not working, extraction fan in bathroom not working & no possible way to open bathroom window as sealed shut. When we called reception to let them know of what’s wrong, we were asked to come downstairs to give over the key to get a new room key to switch into another room, so we decided to pack our stuff & get downstairs soon as we could, before not even a minute later there was a knock at the door with 2 members of staff coming in the room to check everything. Kettle was plugged into other sockets & started working, I mentioned the bathroom door not having a latch & felt very intimidated with “you’ll be getting another room now”. For us to then go find our room by ourselves up the stairs, fair enough we found it, but we left 2-3 things in the first room because of feeling rushed out the first one. Second room was a lot better but very hot. Struggled to sleep through the night. Both beds in each room were hard as rock, I struggled to sleep through the night due to it being so hard. Weird bathroom stain on the floor, like a turmeric stain. Parking wasn’t clear it was to the rear of building, weird directions given by staff. Weekend staff were lovely! Woke up early this morning & felt relaxed to enjoy breakfast & couldn’t be of anymore help.

Would be nice to have healthy options like cereals yoghurt fruit sourdough toast

Bathroom was too hot,
The breakfast was a mess people were waiting more than 10 mins

Maybe a bit more signage would be helpful, as I got slightly lost several times trying to find the way back outside from my room. Whilst the room was very pleasant, other areas looked a little bit shabby and could do with a bit of updating. Having said that, you don't sleep in the corridors!

If you're having breakfast get downstairs early

No hot water for the both days and net curtains torn. Whilst room exceptionally clean generally we had to remake the bed before we could get in and clean the previous occupants toothpaste off the bathroom mirror.

Rooms ok but basic - Halls stairs etc tired and in need of painting

Food basic pub grub

Not keen on the breakfast set up we had to ask where the plates and all the utensils were cups et cetera and you get them from the bar and also the plate for the hot breakfast was cold we could do with having the plates where the breakfast is serve served

In one of the rooms the shower door was broken but staff were great and very helpful

No duvet provided for my daughter and nobody around to ask for one as we got back late from wedding.

Cooked breakfast was not the best and had been left out for a long time. Because I’d paid for it we had to go with it.
