Very clean room
Colder than expected but lovely room
Room was really clean and confortable
Comfortable bed. Everything we needed was provided
Easy to park
Confusion over breakfast - we had paid for breakfast with our room. They tried to say we had not. It was soon sorted out amicably
The amount of towels was nice
The customers in the pub section gave me and my partner weird looks when we were signing into the hotel.
The bathroom was cramped, the shower doors were off the hinges and there is a towel heating rack right next to the sink so I ended up hurting myself on that a few times. There was also blood on it when we arrived.
Great place to leave, with many thngs nearby to have, such as stores, coffee, chill walk and sleep. The Swan makes me feel comfortable with the multiple selection in such as pub, breakfast, pizza time, and sleep. The daily cleaning from their housekeepers is a plus. O suggest to choose their English breakfast all you can eat.
Nothing to add
- Despite only having a single bed it was long enough to cover me 6'5 tall.
- Shower is big and spacious enough
-Large bathroom in general
- Great price for the area
- lighting was a bit dim and lack of main room light was sometimes inconvenient
- Noise may be a problem for some people
Price, location, room
Nothing
Lovely clean spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Going to extra mile.

Great value for money - loads of food options downstairs.
Nothing
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. The shower room looked like it had been updated. Breakfast was very good.
I didn't love that booking.com mishandled our booking and we had to pay for breakfast separately.
Just perfect!
Value for money comfortable hotel, very comfy bed and pillows, had everything we needed. Coleshill had some nice pubs and curry houses.
Whilst the bathroom was spotless I saw a few cobwebs here and there. The layout of the hotel is a bit strange and there are no lifts. Also rather thin walls. Restaurant is very standard, my food was “sub Wetherspoons” standard unfortunately
Not great WiFi
Initially, upon entering the hotel from the rear car park, the atmosphere appeared pleasant, and the adjoining restaurant gave a good first impression
Upon first entering the hotel, everything seemed nice and welcoming. However, when we got into our room, it initially looked clean — until we looked closer. There were food wrappers left in the drawers, rubbish under the bed, and food waste on the floor. The radiator panel was very dirty and even had a blood stain on it. The room only had a shower, which was leaking until I managed to fix it myself.
The room was not suitable for a family of four. It had one double bed and a pull-out sofa bed for the two children to share. The double bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and both of us woke up with back pain the next morning. The sofa bed was also uncomfortable with a very thin mattress — not ideal for two children.
We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night, which was fine and the food was good. However, on the second night, the experience was disappointing. We ordered a plain chicken burger (no salad or sauce) for our daughter and fish fingers with mash for our younger one. The staff repeated the order back correctly, but when the food arrived, the burger came with salad and sauce, and the fish fingers came with chips instead of mash. After sending them back, the correct food was brought out, but the chicken burger was burnt black like charcoal. Our daughter, who is only eight, refused to eat it. We had to send it back again, but by the time a new one arrived, the rest of us had already finished our meals, and she was left hungry.
Additionally, when our starters were served, the plates were never cleared before our main courses came out, leaving the table cluttered with used dishes.
Overall, the stay was disappointing — while the restaurant staff were polite, the room cleanliness and food service standards were not what we expected.
