Close to very nice beach and tons of restaurants. We booked a room with balcony located upstairs and happened to see some monkeys messing around. It was fun.
The building is close to the road, so the noise during the day might get bit disturbing to those seeking peace and quiet. It was fine at night though.
We felt that the price is quite too high compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The standard of the rooms was good but the breakfast is not included and the host just did bare minimum.
This is a very nice property we enjoyed the stay here it was tucked away so nice and quiet day and night

Cumplía con las expectativas: dormir cerca de la playa para no perder mucho tiempo ya que solo hicimos una noche allí.
En nuestro caso, teníamos que madrugar mucho e irnos a dormir pronto. Nos costó dormir ya que hubo mucho ruido durante las primeras horas de la noche (gente en la terraza que esta justo al lado de la ventana y tuktuk entrando al lugar).
Great stay really close to the beach, cafes and restaurants. The room was simple but clean, with clean and ventilated bathroom. Had no AC but the ceiling fan helped. Loved the separate entrance through the small garden, felt very private.

Everything! Location was 10/10 as well as the service. Me and my husband were on our honeymoon trip and they made sure to prepare the room in a cozy and romantic way for our arrival. Additionally, we had to change our date of departure and everything was handled smoothly. Samanthi, Nimesh, Sashi and the rest made our stay as good as it could be. Thank you with all my heart for making our trip so wonderful!

Enjoyed our stay here, cheap and in the heart of everything! Easy to get around by walking! People who run the place are very nice and helpful!
Was abit warm in the room as it only has a ceiling fan and no AC and the bathroom was dirty

Check out was a little chaotic as none of the members of staff knew how to check us out and we had to wait for the owner to arrive, who we had never met.

Surf Nest is a great hotel if staying by Hiriketiya Bay, it is near to all the local restaurants and cafes as well as the beach. The room was clean although basic
We found the staff to not be particularly welcoming when we arrived, no one said hello to us or acknowledged our arrival. Our room was downstairs and we were kept awake all night by people above as well as the hotel dog. The rooms downstairs also get very hot at night and there is no air con available.
The place has its charm and is super close to my most favourite beach in Sri Lanka - Hiriketiya Beach.
There are massive holes above doors and windows uncovered by any glass, which is a wonderful invittation for any kinds of insects and lizards. Of course it also makes the room noisy.
Hiriketiya was one of our favourite stops in Sri Lanka. It is so relaxing! This homestay is very close to the beautiful beach and very quiet. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately there was no AC so it was very very hot in our room (also because there was an opening above the door and window, so all the hot air was coming in). The staff also didn’t pay much attention to us.
