Pros:

Fantastic location and view (right next to Dickwella seawall surf spot), cozy balcony.

Cons:

Just keep in mind it's a homestay, so you need to walk through someone's living room to get to your room. The hosts did not seem to know how to make coffee.

Amazing Stay
Pros:

We had an amazing stay! Nishadi and her husband were really welcoming, friendly, and always helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally diverse, delicious! We were able to rent a scooter directly from them, which was super convenient. The room was spotless, modern, and equipped with air conditioning. Highly recommended!

Cons:

You should be aware that the accommodation is located at a main road, but still very close to the beach and we didn’t hear much noise inside the room. The bathroom was a bit small and got quite warm.

A real gem in Dickwella
Pros:

Charith & Nishadi are the most amazing hosts. I came for three nights and stayed nineteen! A decent little righthand break was in easy walking distance and Hiriketiya just five minutes away on my scooter. The smaller room, which I had, had a view out to the break and received a cool (ish) sea breeze. I'll definitely be returning 😊

Honestly there was nothing to dislike!

Pros:

The owners were friendly but I think we had some language barrier from time to time. Short walk to the beach. The room was clean and breakfast was nice.

Cons:

The bed was very hard to sleep, you can feel the springs in your back. The noise from the street was really loud and no sound proof in the room.

Pros:

Room was big and clean, with a big comfortable bed. It also had direct access to a beautiful huge terrace. Fantastic breakfast and a great host family. They are extremely kind, helpful and welcoming, It was a pleasure being the or guests.

Cons:

Some rooms face the street, which Is a bit noisy, though It doesn't really Bother a good night sleep. It Is set on a portion of beach with few tourist services, you have to walk about 15 minutes to reach the more serviced area of beach with resturants and bar options. If you don't mind a walk, It Is an excellent accomodation

Beautiful Family Guesthouse
Pros:

We booked the accomodation at the same day and it worked perfectly without any problems. We travell with backpacks and change every day the destination. So it was very important for us. The host family was incredibly friendly and loveable. They even took us to a city festival which is once a year and very important to the buddhist residents. They have accomponied us through the festival area and told all historic background about the festival. Next morning we got an extremly tasty breakfast, we were very impressed. From the balcony you have a great sea view. The accomodation was very clean and also a few steps away from the well-known turtle point. Shortly before departure a family member repaired my travel bag because there was a big hole on the bottom side.
All in all it was a perfect stay in dickwella, a huge thanks to the hosts.
