The location it's so quiet and relaxing, and the hotel itself it's impressive...omg I can't find words to describe it....I like it so much
Beautiful property
The Roos are a little tired and perhaps need a deep clean - there was few cobwebs over the bed
Hot breakfast is in the lodge at the entrance rather than in the main house
The setting is great and the hotel is very traditional
The road to the hotel has big pot holes
Beautiful. Decorated for Christmas
Rooms were absolutely stunning. Comfortable. Warm and very inviting. The food was delicious both dinner and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful. Staff were amazing and very very obliging. All up a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Thanks so much. Will definitely be returning
On the drive up to the hall we were a bit disappointed as the driveways were potholey and it didn't portray a good start, the initial drive way is shared with a riding college which I hadn't realised. Further down and turning towards the hall on a one way system, and upon parking up at the hall we were wowed by the venue and you could see where there property started. (DO NOT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF)
The exceptional customer care and attention to detail was wonderful , we arrived later than planned and were able to have our dinner delivered to our room. Nothing was too much trouble, Debbie went above and beyond to ensure we were settled and had everything we needed. As we were planning to leave at 7am the next morning and were so wowed by our beautiful room and bathroom we actually booked to stop another night so we could experience the whole venue in day light and enjoy the experience and their dining room. The venue has everything and more, the bedding beautiful, the bed comfy and the towels soft and white. The attention to detail was shown in the care of the staff and the way the meals were presented, fine crockery and silver cutlery and crisp linen. Everything we enjoy about visiting places like this - we will definitely be back.
The drive way up to the hall, although in day light you can see this is because within their area they are updating and investing in the property. Their grounds are pristine and a pleasure to walk around.
We loved the location, room and view, the hot tub was perfect
The staff were not accommodating, the food certainly wasn’t up to standard. I found a hair in my prawn cocktail to be told that it wasn’t from the chef so it must have come in the prawns.. they sent it back and gave me 1/2 a plate of prawn cocktail. The salmon was overcooked and drowned by the sauce. Overall our meal was borderline inedible.
The wine that was offered by the glass wasn’t to standard either.
I think if you are paying for a room that is luxurious and it’s surroundings are exactly that you should be getting the same luxury when dining.
Set in beautiful grounds. The house is just gorgeous.
