clean, beautiful property with great staff, but quite expensive overall.
Pros:

very design forward, helpful staff, beautiful location. house 3 was the best

Cons:

rooms are quite small, not many facilities besides bath house and communal rooms like lounges. so while i liked the stay, the pricing was quite high for the offering and size of the rooms.

Perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle if you want to relax and soak up the country air.
Pros:

Meals were excellent especially the 4 course dinner, definitely worth it. The staff were very helpful. The room and open areas were perfect. The weather was cool and damp and that made it even more special. We came by Shinkansen and taxi, buy there is a bus stop right outside the hotel to. The private onsen was an added bonus!

Cons:

The road is close to the hotel and can be a little noisy.

自然を感じ、癒される。
Pros:

スタッフの方々のホスピタリティがとても良く、たくさんの会話が楽しめた。また、客室が他の宿と比べて多くないためとても静かでリラックスできる宿だった。

Cons:

大変満足だったが一つ挙げるとしたら、木造の建物なので仕方ないが、5月としては珍しく部屋に蚊がいたこと。そのほかは特に気になる点はなかった。

A beautiful property that is restful and inspirational
Pros:

Fantastic design and architecture. Property was quiet and felt exclusive. Room was comfortable and cosy.

Cons:

Restaurant was closed the day we arrived though we had breakfast there the next morning which was A+ for presentation but quite overpriced for what a middling meal

A special, luxurious experience
Pros:

There are three stunning buildings, each with it’s own style. The dining area is amazing as is the communal living room area. We had a fabulous room. We tried the onsen, the architecture tour and the forest hike which were also fabulous, as was breakfast.
Sad to miss out on dinner at the hotel as the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, we had dinner in the old town instead.
