The hotel is closed, locked up and a notice on the door when you arrive, no notice beforehand or communication

It was closed and no one told us. We arrived after 14 mile walk.
We arrived at the hotel to a sign on the door stating ‘we apologise deeply that we are closed due to unforeseen circumstances’. No prior correspondence to inform us of the closure!!! But booking.com charged my credit card for the stay!
To actually stay at the hotel I paid for!!!!
Nothing. Shocking experience
My booking wasn't available. I arrived in Fishguard for a funeral and when I arrived the hotel was closed due to no electricity or water, I had an email confirming my booking the day before however others who attended the same funeral had a cancellation 4 days before. Luckily I had a bed as I traveled 3 hours and had 1 hours notice pre funeral, but the window didn't close so I woke freezing cold, no lights so had to use a torch, no water. Torches in the hallway, needed a key to enter the building. As a solo female it was a very dangerous stay, hazardous. I got promised a refund within 1-2 days and 7 days in still waiting.

Electricity was cut off during our stay and hotel closed, which we only discovered when we returned to the hotel. The owner, Daniel, promised refund but has ignored communications from myself and Booking.com. Very disappointing behaviour.
The hotel was shut when we arrived. The electricity had been cut off.I had tried calling the hotel many times and no reply.
The proprietor was there and he was belligerent and no apology.We had booked 2 nights months before. Disgusting.

Hübsches Restaurant.
Im hochgepriesenen Restaurant konnte jede zweite Bestellung nicht erfüllt werden, da die Ware fehlte bzw. Ausgegangen war. Die Bedienung bestand aus zwei jungen Leuten die absolut keine Ahnung vom Servieren und von den Speisen und Getränken hatten. Wirklich schlecht. Preis-Leistung nicht gegeben.

Clean, spacious and comfortable room in excellent location for my needs ...centre of town.
Lack of car park is minor issue. However, good public car park is only 5 minutes walk.
The location was ideal—right in the heart of Fishguard. The rooms were a good, practical size and featured en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast remained consistently tasty, and the team were courteous and welcoming.
The rooms required significant attention, with several issues identified: the shower screen was missing, the toilet was missing a flush button, the windows were difficult to open, the fridge was noisy, the WiFi signal was weak in certain areas, and there were no blinds or curtains.
The night before breakfast, I requested the 8:30 AM slot with a member of staff. However, the following morning, both the dining room and kitchen remained closed at that time, and we had to wait 45 minutes before breakfast was served. Additionally, there was no continental buffet available, meaning we couldn’t access cereal or help ourselves to drinks.
Nice modern room in pub, central location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Clean room and decent breakfast
No reception desk. I had to call a cell phone number and wait 25 minutes for someone to come to the property to let me in. I was alone in the hotel that night. It's not a hotel, more of a restaurant with rooms above.

Je ne répéterai pas les défauts et dysfonctionnements (cités dans d’autres commentaires) concernant le manque de professionnalisme et le peu de considération du client ainsi que la vétusté des équipements.
En bref, cet hébergement ne correspond aucunement à la description sur Booking.
Il disqualifie la valeur d’un vrai 4 étoiles et, de ce fait, appauvrit la crédibilité de Booking.
