Pros:

it was quiet.

Cons:

many things in the room were broken. some of the lights didn't work, the sink was not connected to the wall and one hand valve was broken off, the fridge door fell off. the two bathroom doors did not close. one of the closet doors was hanging by one hinge.

Decent stay but not as good as expected
Pros:

How friendly the staff was.
Pool was clean.
The room was spacious with a king size bed.
Food was good and good price.

Cons:

The bathroom shower door was broken, the shower head had a broken wire which was fixed the next day but then the A/C and the wall had no more electricity. So we couldn't use the plugs on that part of the room.

The room itself wasn't the cleanest, cobwebs, cockroaches and a bat.

Run the other way!
Pros:

Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and good.

Cons:

Bed was terrible. Place was dirty. Dark in room. Directions horrible. Took us almost an hour out of the way and owner, when we called, did not apologize. And couldn't clarify. He then didn't offer a discount, but offered a free drink (we dont drink). The property has not been maintained, the pool was cloudy, the bar was noisy until 11 or so with loud music and kids screaming. The cabaña had little warm water, filthy fridge, a remote to the TV that didn't work unless you were right in front of it. It is located a km out of town and had nothing there to do. Not worth the 75 plus dollars I spent. I guess if you want RUSTIC, this is your place, but not at this price. Owner was very friendly the next morning at breakfast, offering ideas of places to go and things to see, but... he hinted at us being back in a year. No way. Very disappointed.

good for a short stopover
Pros:

Good place to stop on the way to Tortuguero. Great adjoining room big enough for a large family. Swimming pool is a nice addition. Friendly staff

Pool and surroundings are a little tired
