Pleasant hotel in the modern part of the city, a 10-15 min Yandex ride from all the main sights as well as the train station. My deluxe king room was huge with grand wooden furniture, and a very comfortable firm bed. The free breakfast was very simple but pleasant - fried eggs and sausage, bread, pastry, tea/coffee. The gent working at reception and the lady providing breakfast were both cordial and friendly. There is a large Korzinka supermarket about 15 mins walk away as well as an amazing restaurant called T-Bone which I highly recommend!
On the flip side, the hotel has a detached, impersonal atmosphere and seems to house locals and extended residents as opposed to tourists, some of whom gave off a slightly weird vibe. I was put in a room directly next to the breakfast area which is a small landing with 4 tables and a small kitchen, if the hotel was at capacity this could cause a lot of waiting around to sit and eat - also this area was quite noisy from the start of breakfast, particularly with the lady playing loud music. Finally my bathroom was laughable, electric sockets in the shower and a toilet in an alcove so low anyone over about 5’5 would have to bend over to use it.
Overall, recommended and fine for a short stay if nothing closer to the tourist area is available.
Everything was great from the staff to the room. They also treated us with a very delicious meal ( Pilav, salad and tea) for lunch. We had to check out early in the morning so we requested the receptionist to provide breakfast at 7 which they did.

It is situated near the university where I had work to do. The room is OK, but doesn't have a table to work on with your computer. Internet OK, some restaurant across the road and fast food down the road. All OK.
Breakfast is individual and prepared by hotel stuff personally for you.
It's slightly noisy because of street traffic, but you can't do anything about it. It's ok, not critical.
Receptionist guy . He is such a nice and friendly person.

The bed was comfortable, restaurants and shops around and easy to get too. The lady at reception was very kind and helpful.
Loud at night and early morning, breakfast seemed to be different food depending on if you are a tourist or not, and we also had someone presumably drunk banging on our door at 6AM trying to get in and shouting.
