Important information:

The hotel is a popular wedding and event venue, particularly at weekends, and due to the nature of these events hotel guests may experience some additional noise.

For group bookings of 5 or more rooms the following policies apply:

The guest will be charged a 20% nonrefundable deposit and full payment will be required 7 days prior to the arrival. The guest will receive an 80% refund if they cancel by 14:00 the day before their arrival.

Please note that meals on the 31 st of December will only be available in the Main Bar until 17:45. The Hotel Restaurant will be closed for a Gala Dinner on this date.

Please note that the bar and restaurant will close at 23:00 until further notice.

Amazing place to stay if walking up the Snowdonia
Pros:

Historic property to stay, very cosy from step one, breakfast were included - excellent variety. Staff were very quick, upon my departure they informed I left my charger and gave me in minutes time! Bath was tiny but wonderful.

Cons:

The food they had in the evening was a bit off, maybe it was unlucky, but seemed that the fish was not fresh

Property was very dated and in need of refurbishing, some of the carpets and furnishings were extremely worn and is some cases rather grubby especially in the coach house

Would have been fine if I had managed to get any sleep!
Cons:

There was a fan in the bathroom that couldn't be turned off. It was so noisy and meant no sleep. Also the bedroom door wasn't sound-proofed so you could hear every single person walking past, heading to bed and talking. I had competed in the Snowdon uphill only race and was therefore really tired and just wanted some sleep.

Pros:

Fantastic hotel it’s our second stay with them and will definitely be a returning customer. great location, exceptionally comfy & clean rooms, Lovely breakfast and super helpful staff.
I forgot my walking boots in the room only to realise when I got home. The staff packaged & posted my boots, returning them to me in just 3 days after my stay with them.

nice try but overall, a disaster.
Pros:

physical location and staff were all friendly.

Cons:

Room was an attic room, with no air conditioner or fan and a window that only opened about 10%. It was unlivable.
I was also covered in bed bug bites. Not mosquitos. Bed bugs.

Pleasant stay, wonderful food just a shame the hotel couldn’t rustle up some fine weather !
Pros:

Room was small but perfectly fine .
Nice big window you could open for fresh air.
Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied.
The evening meal was lovely and breakfast was all you could wish for .

Cons:

Pillows not to my liking but of course I don’t think hotels can cater for everyone’s preference.

Pros:

Location was great, although the room was small it was very clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Maybe the staff could have been a bit friendler and chatted to you.
