Portal Motel is nicer! Give that a try instead of this one.

The location. The view to Mt. Whitney. That's really about it.

Cons:

I noticed huge cobwebs in the corner above the bed as soon as we walked in. After I noticed that one, I was unintentionally looking for them. They were all over. There was a hair in the sink and 5-6 hairs on the shower walls. There was also a used bar of soap on the shower ledge. These are easy things to clean up but automatically give a feeling of uncleanness. I texted the staff the next day about these things asking for a deep clean. I got this message "We notified housekeeping." No sorry or anything. No folllow up either. Housekeeping came and made the beds and replaced towels. That's it - cobwebs still there, hair and used soap still in the shower. I had to request a broom so I could get the cobwebs myself. You should have seen the broom after I was done - covered in cobwebs. We had intended to go home after hiking Mt. Whitney but got in late. We thought it was easiest to go back here instead of risk it at another hotel. At 9:02pm we asked if there was any vacancies. The "receptionist" said there wasn't. There were literally 3 cars in the parking lot but no vacancies? 10 minutes later we saw her at McDonalds with her friends. She just wanted to be done for the day.

La vue sur la montagne.
Lits confortables.
Le fait d'être sur un balcon permet d'admirer les camions américains et autres véhicules originaux.

Cons:

Trop bruyant...la rue est très passante, il n'y a pas d'isolation.
Il n'y a pas de sèche-cheveux.
Beaucoup trop cher pour ce manque de qualité.

Everything VERY basic… bathroom wasn’t great to very clean at all. Air-con very noisy, really not a great nights sleep on the beds either

The room was spacious and within walking distance of the town’s few restaurants. Great location for access to Whitney Portal.

Cons:

Located on a busy/noisy street that has a considerable amount of truck traffic. Loud air conditioner makes it difficult to sleep. Could use updating of furniture and decor.
