Great Location and character pub hotel. Recommended for its location and price.
Pros:

Room was adequate size and clean and tidy although on the 3rd floor and no lifts but a great character pub and excellent location on main hight street, Parking was convenient although limited parking spaces.

Cons:

No lift as mentioned but they can't fit one bein a listed building. Nothing really not to like. Its a good place to stay.

Great stay at a reasonable price
Pros:

A really good stay. Very comfortable and spacious room and bathroom. We faced the road but the double glazing kept out most of the traffic noise - no problem there. Great breakfast - no continental available but the cooked was really delicious and well prepared. Pleasant friendly service from the staff and parking available which was a bonus.

Pub owners, Marston better suited to brewing excellent beer than running a hotel
Pros:

Comfy bed, central location, free parking, very helpful and polite employees

Cons:

The bedroom had an adjoining room, separated by a door, to another room, let on a separate booking so every small sound could be heard. Noisy outdoor extractor fan. Expensive for what it was. Outside decor of pub and rear garden area desperately in need of painting/ refurbishment

Good, but not for us at 80 years old!
Pros:

Sunday lunch

Cons:

Stairs were very steep, we had our room changed to second floor instead of third floor!
It appears you need to check as early as possible to get a room on a lower flour, didn’t know that!
