Hot water not hot enough for a nice bath! Warm enough for a shower.
Great location and friendly staff. Real value for money.
Rooms are a bit dated and could do with refurb. Shower leaking and just tired.
Great location
Great location in centre of town.
Our room was on the 2nd Floor, as there was no lift we had to carry heavy suitcases up quite narrow stairs, because of this I would not recommend this hotel unless you are young and fit or have minimal luggage.
Location fantastic and we were able to park. Rooms comfortable and staff great.
It’s an old building so lots of sloping floors and ceilings. But this wasn’t a problem.
A beautifully historic hotel, wonderful staff, fantastic food, all very good quality and well presented. A very good parking facility, we were always able to get in a space even over Easter weekend. Quirky rooms due to the age of the hotel, but very good quality bedding, carpets and curtains, and lovely quality towels.
We stayed in a deluxe room, which it was an excellent size, accommodating our dog too. Unfortunately there was a severe lack of storage for our things for 4 days. A short hanging rail and a space above the width of a folded jumper and that was it. No shelves, no drawers, no hooks for coats etc despite there being more than enough space available within the room. The bedside table areas tiny also, just a shelf. The bathroom was HUGE but again, no shelves or storage except for a row of hooks. Please stay in your own room with all the things needed when you go away to see what’s lacking! Also the windows were filthy inside and out, a shame as lovely views when said window was opened. Also the dining and bar windows filthy, which does present an undeserved image. Please clean!
Location was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
As a historic building don't expect the standards of easy physical access or noise insulation that you might expect in a more modern hotel.
Relaxation, food,
premises old, floor surface crooked
Central, clean, spacious and friendly staff
Staff were excellent a day very attentive. Always asked how you were doing and if everything was ok.
Everything was great, but water pressure was quite low on the top floor. There is nothing you can do about this, and it doesn't spoil the room. Just need a bit of patience in the morning. Nice place to stay though
