Stay Golden

Der Strand-Bungalow hat uns sehr gefallen, es ist toll eingerichtet, groß und verfügt über alles was man braucht.
Der Strand ist wunderschön und war aufgrund der Nebensaison herrlich leer. Es stehen überdachte Sonnenliegen zur Verfügung (diese erschienen teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen). Schwimmen im Meer ist aufgrund des Wellengangs nicht gut möglich, es gibt jedoch einen schönen Pool der für Abkühlung sorgt und Platz für kurze Bahnen bietet. Das Team war sehr nett und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Aufgrund der Nebensaison hatten nur wenige Restaurants in der Umgebung geöffnet, das war jedoch nicht weiter schlimm weil man im Hotel eigentlich alles bekommt was man braucht. Wir konnten unkompliziert und zu einem fairen Preis einen Roller mieten, Fahrräder stehen kostenfrei zur Verfügung.

Der private Zugang zum Strand, das komplette organisieren aller Ausflüge hat alles sehr unkompliziert für uns gemacht. Wir hatten nie das Gefühl das es während des Aufenthalts mal langweilig geworden ist.

Die Zimmer waren super modern und stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben hier superfreundliche Menschen kennengelernt und können es jedem nur weiterempfehlen. Wir waren schon in einigen asiatischen Ländern, aber das Stück Natur welches man hier zu sehen bekommt ist atemberaubend.

Das stay golden hat unsere Erwartungen bei weitem übertroffen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sogar verlängert. Wer ein kleines mit Liebe geführtes Resort sucht ist hier genau richtig. Freundlich, sauber, familiär, sehr gute Küche ,traumhafte Umgebung. Die Cabanas und Zimmer sind mit vielen, für Asien nicht selbstverständlichen Details ausgestattet (Föhn, Safe, Stauraum, Strandtasche, mehrere Ventilatoren trotz AC. Ich schreibe so gut wie nie Bewertungen, aber dieser Ort hat mich auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Das einzig negative ist, dieses Paradies irgendwann verlassen zu müssen. #enjoythebeachlife ;D

La chambre était très confortable, bien éclairée, bien aménagée (même s’il n’y a pas de porte entre la salle de bain et la chambre), la climatisation fonctionnait bien, tout était propre, ménage à tous les jours. À notre arrivée nous avons demandé un hamac sur notre terrasse et il a été installé dans les minutes suivantes. Très efficace.
Belle piscine.
La plage est magnifique, propre et tranquille.
Le personnel est très accueillant et attentionné!

Super nette Anlage mit direktem Strandzugang. Hier kann man es sich gut gehen lassen und entspannen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Personal super hilfsbereit.

We had a fantastic stay here- as a group of 9 they went above and beyond for us. The staff were so helpful and kind. The food was incredible and so reasonably priced. Perfect location just a short walk along the beach to Main point the most incredible surf break. Thankyou team we will be back for sure.

We had a brilliant time at Stay Golden. Arugam Bay was the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Angie, Rihan and the rest of the team were so lovely. They arranged an incredible surf class, lagoon tour and safari trip. We saw elephants, crocodiles and amazing birds! The lagoon tour in particular was absolutely amazing, as we went out at sunset with a fisherman on a very simple boat with no engine and felt very at one with nature! It was pure magic. The hotel location is fantastic. It's just a 5 mins cycle to the main high street on the free pedal bikes courtesy of the hotel, or a 10 minute walk. So you have easy access but also the peace and tranquility of the hotel to escape to. Beautiful facilities and also delicious food and drinks. Can't recommend highly enough!

The cabins are beautiful, impeccably clean, comfortable and very tasteful decor, the nicest place I stayed in Sri Lanka. Good food and nice pool, close to beach. Staff are very relaxed and friendly. Highly recommend, if even just for one night.

The room was great - spacious with really nice bathroom and a roof terrace for relaxing too. The resort area was nice - with a lovely pool and great spaces to relax in sun and shade. There was plenty of space for the kids to play and a lovely beach area with great views. It was a fairly short walk round to the action in Arugam bay (or a tuk tuk ride) and great to come back to the oasis of calm that is Stay Golden. We did 2 surf lessons - everything can be organised through the resort. Food was good too. The hosts and staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a great stay and hope we can revisit at some point and stay for longer!
