Stay Golden

Stay Golden was excellent!! The rooms are spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were in a bungalow which felt very private, and we enjoyed the use of our own hammock and swing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had an extensive menu and everything was yum. An easy walk into town, or the staff could organise a TukTuk and the property is right on the beach (although not a swimming beach). A laundry service was available for a small fee. Pool and beach towels were provided and changed daily. We loved our stay here and would definitely choose Stay Golden again.

The POOL the fact that it was away from the crowd and noise and amazing atmosphere where you get to meet other guests and the owner.

This is a beautiful place to stay in a quiet part of town.
Everything you need is here and the staff are very accommodating. By far the cleanest place I’d stayed and best facilities in Sri Lanka.
Not far to get to the main part of town and they have bikes, surfboards and onsite yoga classes.

This property is absolutely amazing! The rooms are clean, big, and I love that there are hammocks with the rooms. The food on site was delicious. We ate there every morning and lunch time. It’s reasonably priced and the staff was so attentive and took very good care of us. The pool was huge and the kids played it in everyday after surfing. It’s about 15 min walk to downtown and a short tuktuk ride if you don’t want to walk. Just so you know you can NOT swim in the ocean. The waves are huge and the current very strong. We surfed at other locations and came back to swim in pool so it wasn’t a big deal for us but for others it might be. Thank you for an amazing stay and I wish to return one day.

Really kind and friendly staff (thank you so much!!), room was clean, happy hour cocktails were great, nice pool area especially in the heat.
Location was about a 15 minute walk to town.

Great place to stay that is secluded, everything you need is there and a short enjoyable bicycle ride to all the main restaurants! Will be back!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Der Bungalow ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, besonders praktisch fanden wir den Hocker am Waschbecken für Kinder sowie die großzügigen Ablageflächen, dieStrandtasche. Man merkt sofort, dass Angie ein besonderes Flair für Einrichtung und Komfort hat.

Besonders gefallen hat uns die familiäre Atmosphäre. Die ganze Familie ist unglaublich herzlich und jederzeit für Fragen oder Anliegen da. Dadurch fühlt man sich nicht wie ein Gast in einem Hotel, sondern fast wie zu Besuch bei Freunden.

Klimaanlage und WLAN haben im gesamten Hotel jederzeit einwandfrei funktioniert. Das Essen war fantastisch, sodass wir jeden Tag im Hotelrestaurant gegessen haben.

Für Familien mit Kindern ist das Hotel ideal: Es gibt einen Kinderpool, einen Spielplatz und verschiedene Spiele. Der ruhige Strand direkt vor dem Hotel war nahezu menschenleer und wir hatten ihn oft ganz für uns allein. Zum drachensteigen, muschelsammeln und Spaziergänge. Zum Baden ist das Meer in Sri Lanka allerdings nur eingeschränkt für kleine Kinder geeignet.

Wir haben zudem zweimal eine Safari über das Hotel gebucht, beide Ausflüge waren hervorragend organisiert und preislich absolut fair. Auch die Yoga-Stunden waren wunderbar ✨

Insgesamt ein traumhafter Aufenthalt, den wir gerne weiterempfehlen. Gerade die Kombination aus der wunderschönen Anlage, dem hervorragenden Essen und der herzlichen, familiären Betreuung macht diesen Ort zu etwas ganz Besonderem.

Excellent hospital. Above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and effortless as possible. Very welcoming, and the outdoor space/pool/restaurant is such a blessing during the hot midday hours. Yoga on site also a big plus!

Schöne Unterkunft direkt am Strand.

Beautiful beach front location with a pool 15mins from the hustle of Arugam. The cabanas are clean and spacious with lots of thoughtful little details to make your stay more comfortable. Everything you need from surf coaching to safari can be arranged directly from the hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful too.

We really loved Stay Golden. From the moment we got there, the service from the owners as well as every staff member was outstanding. Our family suite was beautiful and had everything we needed. The restaurant had great food and an amazing relaxed atmosphere. I loved the yoga classes also. The resort is great for all ages whether you are a young traveller or a family. The resort sits on a beautiful stretch of beach that is just a short walk to town and the main surf break. We would return for sure!
