Cons:

The pet rooms don't have air-conditioning and having auto immune diseases I can't control my body temp, but the amazing staff moved us to a room with air-conditioning.

Pros:

Budget room with no ensuite was huge.
Double bed with two double bunks.

Cons:

The double bed mattress had a big bow in it and was very uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the bunk beds which were very comfortable..

Black mat carpet throughout the room was filthy with stains everywhere.

We appreciated the opportunity of staying at "NR" and would do so again given the chance.
Pros:

Given the scarcity of similar locations in this much-travelled remote area, with capacity to offer fuel, meals and overnight accommodation, no doubt in the course of a year, probably thousands would like us have reason to be especially grateful for the existence of Nullarbor Roadhouse. It is widely recognised that sufficient rest and recovery is essential, after hours of "relentless" driving, and we would argue that Nullarbor Roadhouse occupies a strategic geographical position for meeting majority needs of long-distance travellers.

Cons:

Any criticism of Nullarbor Roadhouse must surely be tempered and related to the understandable difficulty of attracting and obtaining access to a variety of goods and services, for delivery into such a remote area, after covering extraordinary distances. We found on arrival that wash basin taps were dripping, and not all lights were in fully working order. Enquiry through one of the co-managers revealed that in spite of the existence of a preventative maintenance program, there was an unavoidable maintenance backlog for reasons explained above.
The quality and variety of menu offerings were probably comparable with other roadhouses. Experienced long-distance travellers might even say they were superior. However, we would describe the food as basic but adequate.
If we were able to influence managerial decision-making over the dining room, we would be suggesting that many travellers would rate the overall satisfaction of their stay rather higher, if greater attention could be paid to improved meal quality standards.

Pros:

The meals and staff were lovely.

Cons:

Our room had a broken window that was taped up and the beds were so uncomfortable. It was clean but there were no bedside tables. And paid twice the price of everywhere else with terrible beds. Won't be returning.
