Cottage tres confortable. Je recommande.
Pros:

Personnel très aimable et serviable. Très bon service!
Très proche du fameux Wat Rong Khun (Temple Blanc). Centre ville de Chiang Rai accessible en 25 minutes.
De petits concerts ou événements sont organisés les week-ends sur place.
2 petits pédalos sont disponibles pour une promenade sur le lac. Avec possibilité d’acheter de la nourriture pour poissons.

Cons:

Juste une petite suggestion d’amélioration : une grande ET une petite serviette serait appréciable pour les femmes ;)

Laten we beginnen met de positieve punten: het personeel is geweldig, erg vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om je te helpen. Het ontbijt was goed, en het eten en drinken dat je via roomservice kon bestellen was ook prima. We hebben een paar keer buiten gezeten bij het kleine meertje, waar een schommel en een paar tafels stonden. Dat was een fijne, ontspannende toevoeging.

Cons:

De kamers waren echter minder goed. We hadden eerst een huisje geboekt. Natuurlijk is de ruimte klein, je boekt immers een huisje. Maar de douche was vies, er zat schimmel op de deuren en de muren, de douchekop zat onder de kalkaanslag en de kamer was over het algemeen gewoon niet schoon. De deur van het huisje sluit niet helemaal, dus er is een grote kans dat er 's nachts insecten naar binnen komen. Het zwembad zag er op de foto's goed uit, maar was slechts gemiddeld, niet echt een ontspannende plek om te verblijven.

We hebben om een andere kamer gevraagd vanwege de vieze douche en gelukkig was dat mogelijk (tegen betaling). Een medewerkster (die ontzettend vriendelijk was) liet ons alle beschikbare kamers zien, zodat we een kamer konden kiezen die we mooi vonden. De kamer was een stuk beter. Maar er was nog wel ruimte voor verbetering; de douche had bijvoorbeeld wat schimmelplekken. Over het algemeen kan het hotel wel wat opknapwerk gebruiken. Het lijkt erop dat het gebouw en de kamers wel wat onderhoud en misschien wat upgrades kunnen gebruiken? Ik denk dat een afzuiging in de douche bijvoorbeeld een enorm verschil zou maken voor de schimmel.

's Avonds waren we wel erg blij met de andere kamer; omdat er 's nachts veel insecten zijn, was ik blij dat we niet in het huisje verbleven.

Qua locatie ligt het hotel dicht bij de Witte Tempel. Bij het boeken hadden we gefilterd op 'dicht bij het stadscentrum', maar het hotel ligt niet in de buurt van het 'grote stadscentrum'; dus houd daar rekening mee als je dat wilt. Controleer de locatie goed. Als je een rustig verblijf zoekt, weg van de drukte van het centrum, is het een prima locatie. Het uitzicht vanuit de taxi was erg mooi, dus dat vonden we niet zo erg.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, and a stay so relaxing we extended our trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at Doowall Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the property, atmosphere, and hospitality exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing, making it one of our favorite stays during our trip.

The staff were truly amazing — warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our entire stay. Their hospitality made such a difference and made us feel completely at home.

We enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to extend our stay by an additional night because we simply did not want to leave. That alone says everything about how much we loved this hotel.

This is absolutely a hotel we will return to in the future, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Cons:

The only small improvement I would suggest is that the rooms with private pools would feel even more luxurious if they included pool loungers instead of the standard outdoor table and chairs setup.

Great food, friendly staff, setting in some nice grounds. Clean and tidy just a little bit too far from Any amenities.
Pros:

It was set in some very nice grounds with Ricefield around you quiet.
Food was very good, staff were friend me

Cons:

For me, the location was a little bit too far from the main town.
You constantly needed a taxi or your own transport to travel the 25 minute journey. You felt a little isolated.

Pros:

The location is fantastic, the staff were fabulous, the baths are great and if you've been in Thailand for a while, they're a lovely treat

The art surrounding, the picturesque scenery views over the rice fields and dinner and breakfast was great too

It's a great stay

Cons:

There's just a little maintenance, and finishing touches that could be seen to and it would be perfect, for me
