The steps to rooms but only because I have bad knees otherwise there was nothing to dislike.
Location and free parking
Very basic, sticky floor in bedroom. Had an additional issue late at night which ruined our stay.

Location was great, the room was clean & beds comfortable.
Upon arrival, we discovered the absence of a television remote in our assigned room. A staff member attempted to resolve this by providing a universal remote, which unfortunately proved incompatible. The suggestion was then made to relocate us to an alternative room. However, given our extensive travel time and the fact that we were only staying for a single night prior to our departure for Butlins, we had already settled into our current accommodations and preferred not to undergo a room change.
The following morning, after confirming the advertised 11 AM checkout time, we briefly left the premises for breakfast. Upon our return, we found that our key card no longer granted access to our room. Attempts to contact the front desk were unsuccessful, leading to understandable distress for both ourselves and our children, as all our belongings remained inside the room.
Ultimately, we located a cleaner who informed us that the actual checkout time was 10 AM, contrary to the 11 AM advertised on both the website and Booking.com. We were also informed that the property had yet to update this discrepancy. Consequently, our key card had been deactivated and we had been checked out.
Following an unforeseen delay, we were eventually granted access to retrieve our belongings, a process that transpired under considerable time pressure and stress. Given that both my son and I manage social anxiety, this particular incident regrettably exacerbated our anxiety levels.
The staircase leading to the accommodations presents a significant incline, particularly when transporting heavy luggage. I had previously disclosed a knee injury in my correspondence with the hotel during the booking process. I would have appreciated prior notification regarding the absence of ground-floor rooms or the steepness of the stairs. However, I also acknowledge that I could have conducted more thorough research prior to confirming my reservation.
This hotel is right opposite fantasy island, i have stayed here 3 times now , always very clean and coftable.
The stairs but im still able to climb them at 65years of age.

Card for electricity
Instructions on where the car park was and that you needed to go into pub to get into car park would have been beneficial to have prior to arriving. I blocked the barrier to run into pub to register and get key as no where else to park. The man on reception was very nice and helpful as it was so busy in pub, we had rang prior to arriving to check on parking but no-one answered phone.
Only comment is there wasn’t a hand towel in the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay all the staff was very welcoming and accommodating and helpful. The room was always warm. We did have an alarm evacuation at 2am but it turned out to be a false alarm so sleep was disturbed
