Outdated for price.
Pros:

Building and facilities are amazing but a little outdated! I feel for the price, it was a little much for the basement room we were given. Bar had really good food!

Cons:

A little outdated, not close to walk to shopping.

Beautiful estate stay.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated with period pieces and present technology. Stag bar was comfortable and staff-friendly with a variety in their menu. Room 232 made me step back in time with the upholstered bed, furnishings, and window treatments. Although the pillows weren’t my favorite, all was comfortable and felt 4-star.

Cons:

Front desk staff was friendly, but I felt as if I was waking her up to check us in and out.

Thank you for a wonderful stay
Pros:

I loved The ambience and the location, nothing was a problem fo the staff.
and The amazing maintenance of the grounds with only two staff.
Plus a Wonderful shuttle service from the station and to the theatre.

Cons:

Serve yourself breakfast but I do understand it is the modern way and with so many rooms would be too difficult
I guess you have to have a tartan carpet in the Stag Bar...splendidly Kitch!

A venue living on past glories

Lovely surrounding and a traditional setting

Cons:

The room was so disappointing. I appreciate it’s an old building. But when you pay 525 GBP for three nights you expect the best. The wifi was inconsistent and I couldn’t stream anything on the smart tv. The plumbing in the room was blocked and every time the neighbour used the bathroom I heard about it. Gurgling pipes all through the night meant limited sleep. The door to your room isn’t sealed so every passer by you will hear, and the lights from the hallway seep in so you don’t have a dark room to sleep in. The shower gels and shampoo lids were broken so trying to extract them was a nightmare. May seem like small gripes. But when you save up a weeks wages to stay here for a special occasion you feel ripped off. When raising disappointments on checkout the staff offered nothing other than a sorry… breakfast was average too. Rubber scrambled eggs. The cheapest of breads for your toast. Left feeling ripped off.

Lovely stay.
Pros:

The building is beautiful, as is the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the bar and breakfast the following morning, both of which were great.

Cons:

Nothing really. I was in a single room which was small but it didn't bother me.

Das Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry ist für uns das beste Hotel in Schottland

Schon bei der Ankunft ist man beeindruckt: ein prachtvolles, historisches Gebäude, umgeben von einer herrlichen Parklandschaft und mit traumhaften Ausblicken auf die Highlands.

Besonders begeistert haben uns die wunderschöne Atmosphäre, der historische Charme und die großzügige Anlage mit ihren herrlichen Gärten.

Das Hotel thront über dem charmanten Städtchen Pitlochry und ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die schottischen Highlands zu erkunden. Ob herrliche Landschaften, kleine Ausflüge, Whisky oder einfach eine Wanderung durch die wunderbare Umgebung Pitlochrys.

Was das Atholl Palace für uns aber besonders macht, ist die Kombination aus Geschichte, Eleganz, schottischer Gemütlichkeit und diesem ganz besonderen Flair. Das Haus hat Charakter und Persönlichkeit – und ist eben kein austauschbarer Hotelkasten, den man nach zwei Tagen schon wieder vergessen hat.

Ein außergewöhnliches Hotel an einem traumhaften Ort, das unseren Schottlandurlaub ganz besonders gemacht hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Great live music, good access to food and bar, wonderful grounds, and easy access to town.
Pros:

Dinner was great. Service was great. Spacious areas to enjoy.

Cons:

The style of the decor was classic, and preferable, but it could use some restoration. Some investment is needed to keep up the old building, but I wouldn't want to see it changed stylistically.
