One must have been on a lengthy camping trip since weeks to call this comfort
Pros:

Possibly one of the weirdest places, I’ve ever stayed in. Wants to be a stylish hostel? Defo does not deserve the term hotel. Seemed creative and also recent without being functional. A Box bed ( bed out of a wardrobe) hardly a queen and call this a comfort double room???? Nothing about that says comfort. Mattress super hard, pillows like bricks. Toilet no lid. But yes there are hooks on the bathroom wall, I give them that. Shower, good, in a tiny bathroom with a shower curtain. There is a 60s- 70s vibe in the design of this room, reminds me of a 70’s VW van self kit out, a sort of undefinable retro allure, however permanent color stains on floor and table, otherwise clean. An Ikea wardrobe in a rather large room, lit out minimalist with a hanging monkey lamp. And timber wall panels. Digital, self check in’ - mmh, great idea, when it works and one doesn’t have every time to go through a whole approval sequence on the phone to open a gate, a door or yet another entrance. Room right beside steel stairs giving on an inner courtyard, very noisy, windows actual doors, giving right on a seating area and the metal steps, not very safe, really pretty loud and easily accessible from the stairs. Uncomfortably hot in room and no air con, open the door and invite the whole passing clientele, awful.
Lights, creative , not functional, little light in the room or the bathroom. Flimsy cheap Venetian blinds, that are already bent in too many places. A curtain that is impossible to adjust, not fit for purpose. I’ve slept in more luxurious camping sites. Only real redeeming features: Good location! Too expensive for what’s on offer. Didn’t get much sleep, no added value, no breakfast at weekends, no staff, no lovable creativity or quirkiness, but fair enough, a hostel. Not to be recommended for a graduation or special event party. We felt misled by the description on booking.com. The second room was a single, same story in tiny and a little less noisy.

Cons:

Beds, mattress & Pillows, lighting, safety , noise, tiny bathroom with a shower curtain drowning the whole floor, toilet no lids, nowhere to put toiletries apart from a tiny shelf over sink, 1st floor entrance over a steel outdoor stairs, windows giving right on to those stairs, noisy courtyards, ashtrays full to overflow on passage….

Excellent location near Het Noorderpark & city centre, clean and nice design room
Pros:

Excellent location near Het Noorderpark and city centre at walking distance, comfy bed, nice features in the room, design feel and good coffee and tea.

Cons:

Getting access to the place was a little cumbersome and took me a while to figure out. In the end it wasn't all that complicated but a bit overexplained maybe? The real issue for me was that the blinds were broken. This resulted in not being able to darken the room nor open the window to let fresh air in. So basically I tried to sleep in a light and stuffy room. Also too bad that the cafe was not open in the weekend and no staff anywhere.
