Room was livable and lots of street traffic noise. Restaurant was very disappointing.
Pros:

Room was OK, but the meals were terrible. There are better hotels in same area.

Cons:

Dinner was terrible and the Veg meals were a left over from who knows what. They are only catering to French folks and do not provide a truly Chettinad cuisine as advertised, Meal was a hag/ pag of items. I have had their meals before, and it was decent.
Overpriced for what you get this time and not very tasty at all. Pick another hotel to stay at.

Among the best stays in my experience
Pros:

A beautifully furnished and maintained heritage bungalow with excellent service and amazing meals. The Chettinad meal at lunch was one of the best I have had. There were multiple options for breakfast and dinner.

Cons:

Well, it is not a classic Chettinad mansion, if one is keen on staying in one. One has to travel by car for about half an hour to see the mansions in Kanadukattan and Athangudi. A few houses in Chettinad style are within walking distance, but they are not open for viewing. There is also disturbance in the morning from the speakers in a nearby place of worship.

Only the property was well restored.

Cons:

Food was bad, bathrooms were so open that we can hear all kind of unpleasant sounds from the washroom while we r in the bedroom. Not even complementary water was provided. Not worth for the price they charge.

Sehr schöne englische Landhaus-Anlage mit annähernd allem Komfort.
Pros:

Sehr schönes, ruhiges und gepflegtes Refugium im Kolonialstil, wunderbar im Originalstil eingerichtete Zimmer, netter Speisesaal, gute Küche mit aufmerksamem Service.

Cons:

Der Empfang war etwas „kühl“, die Rezeption etwas unübersichtlich, keine Bemühung um das Gepäck.
Als Besonderheit werden zu den üblichen Essenszeiten vom Chefkoch zusammengestellte Menüs serviert. Sie variieren einwenig, um auch den nicht-indischen Gästen entgegen zu kommen. Die eigene Auswahl ist damit jedoch ziemlich beschränkt. Die Qualität ist zwar gut, unterscheidet sich aber kaum von einem großzügigen Büffet-Angebot in einem vergleichbar guten Hotel.

Amazing! really loved the comfort and the hospitality.
Pros:

Too many options in the breakfast lunch and dinner menus. Large rooms was better than the lotus palace with their small and dingy rooms. exceeded expectations with respect to hospitality. Food was fresh and perfect. Hosts were extremely kind and sensitive. Checked in early morning but the lady in reception took no time in giving us a room in just 20 minutes though I did not inform her in advance.

Cons:

Swimming pool was facing the dining area so privacy was bit restricted. never used the pool
