It was a surprise for my wife for our 50th wedding anniversary, so, wanted a special treat and wasn't disappointed, everything was absolutely first class.

Warm welcome from staff. Excellent assistance from reception staff - very knowledgeable and helpful. Organising anything transport or travel related is a breeze with their help. The room was more spacious than expected and spotlessly clean. Comfortable and quiet night's sleeping. The restaurant is a real gem. Our dinner was exceptionally good.
Arrive early for breakfast if you want the pancakes! The pancakes and other popular choices run out early and don't seem to be able to be replenished or otherwise made available again for the whole of the breakfast session. Can be the disappointing start to a day you would rather not have. The table staff were really pleasant but a shrinking breakfast menu availability as the morning goes on makes their work challenging.

Hotel has been tastefully modernized and what’s more remains in top decorative order since the redevelopment.
Super friendly staff and a wonderful restaurant, the food here is second to none, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner at dinner and learnt about his farming of cattle rare breeds and the drive to create a positive, inclusive employe environment. Not many hotels are able to boast of such a rich farm to table offering.

We liked everything- excellent staff , very attentive, happy , nothing too much trouble . We felt valued as customers, personal service and a good team culture was evident of your staff .
The bed was a bit hard
This hotel is lovely . The location is brilliant for a short walk to the boats in the morning and other pubs and shops. The food is excellent , I’d say the best you’re going to get on the island ! All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The bedroom was a lovely big sunny room at the front of the hotel with a lovely big bathroom , my only slight criticism would be the bedding , the pillows were very flat and the duvet was the same , just not very“ luxurious” for such a beautiful hotel
My friend is coeliac, so the stress of eating was taken out of our hands. 99% of the menu was gluten free. You need to advertise this on the hotel information in BIG letters. It would have stopped us looking at other accommodation.
