First class staff, which made our stay memorable
Pros:

Everything! From the minute we walked into the hotel we were greeted by David, who also phoned us as he was aware of our flight from Exeter being cancelled. He went out of his way to ask if we were ok and did we need anything on our arrival. The Hall looked beautiful when we arrived, gardens were immaculate. Our room was lovely and clean, well stocked up with toiletries and hot drinks. The breakfast was amazing, good produce from Gloucester. We stayed one evening for a meal. The chef cooked our steak perfectly. Staff were all very hard working and attentive. They are a real credit to the hotel. We have to name some of them, Brad, Marcus, Lauren, Georgia & Grace. They were full of reccomendations to get us out exploring the island. This is our first visit to the island and won't be our last. We hope to see the above friendly faces next year when we return with my parents. Thankyou all for such a wonderful visit.

Cons:

If I have to say something that I wasn't happy with it would be there was no hair conditioner in the bathrooms

Outstanding, the best hotel on the island
Pros:

Very friendly and knowledgeable reception staff. The food was outstanding, I noticed that quite a few people from other hotels eat here for a “treat” so to have this available for our whole stay was wonderful. The main menu is varied and interesting with a great selection of steaks and the specials board adds to the choice.

Cons:

Nothing, it was perfect

Pros:

Fabulous food! Really nice friendly staff. Lovely grounds, dining rooms and lounge areas. The deluxe bedroom was excellent.

Cons:

Not so keen on the standard double room, rather cramped but the deluxe/superior room was great.

Fantastic!
Pros:

Fantastic location food was delicious and Service excellent.

Cons:

The only thing I would say is the curtains on the bedroom windows didn’t fully fit so the light came in very early in the morning would’ve been good to have blinds or blackout curtains

This hotel is the height of luxury, which does not spoil its pleasant informal atmospherr
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional, Food was excellent though expensive. We had expected a single room, but got two, which was very much appreciated. This is a high class establishment where you pay a good deal, and get one.

Cons:

We tried to think of something, and the only quibble we could come up with is that there could have been more coat hooks, But this applies to most establishments. What I really don't like is the fatuous commentary accompanying these notes.

I had a comfortable stay
Pros:

Everything went well. Comfort in a baronial building. And the staff were
Very accommodating and helpful.

Cons:

Very expensive, but apparently this is par for the course on the Scillies
and upkeep for a place like this costs money.
