Fantastic stay in Hiriketiya
Pros:

I had a fantastic stay at House on the Bend. The staff were very friendly and prepared a fantastic breakfast each morning. The room was large, modern and very clean and the air-con worked well. The location was also great, as a very close walk to the beach and many restaurants but quiet.

Cons:

I stayed 3 nights and the bins were not emptied nor towels replaced which would have been nice.

Pros:

Great location, lovely staff, delicious breakfast. Use of communal kitchen area was good for tea/coffee. Loved that it was ‘no shoes’ indoors!

Pros:

We had a great stay at House on the Bend. The hosts were very friendly and nice. The breakfast was lovely, we told the lady one of us was gluten free - and the next day she went out of her way to make rice hoppers. They were delicious!
The location of the hotel is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants.
The room had very comfy double beds and a nice, modern bathroom.

We would definitely come back!

Great location, the room size is perfect and the breakfast!!! The staff was very nice and overall we had a wonderful experience. We recommend this place 100%

Pros:

Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr nett. Das Hotel sehr gepflegt und ganz zentral. Das Frühstück ist gut und geht bis 10.30 Uhr. Das war super weil wir nicht so früh essen.

Cons:

Leider gab es für die 3 Tage keine Reinigung. Wir waren sehr vorsichtig, trotzdem hatten wir Sand im Zimmer. Haben es selbst gekehrt.

Lovely authentic, clean hotel with caring staff and great breakfast
Pros:

Lovely property in a great location- quiet yet short distance to everything. Staff were amazing- the two guys that run the place and the lovely lady that prepared and waited at breakfast.
Breakfast was delicious- Sri Lankan and home cooked
Lovely hot shower- always a bonus in Sri Lanka

Cons:

We had a downstairs room next to the kitchen so a bit clanky in the mornings and no real outlook as a wall but we had a waterway with fish lol.

Very nice and big room!
Pros:

Our room was very big and clean. We had a nice balcony that went all around our room and had a table and chairs. We had a lot of space for all of our stuff. The lights in the room were cozy, the AC worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and warm water. The staff was extremely nice and the included breakfast was perfect.

Cons:

We had some ants in the bathroom that even climbed onto the toilet seat in our last night, but that's probably because the bathroom only has a net and no window. Other than that, there's nothing negative I could say about this hotel.
