It was clean and in a quiet location
The mattress on the bed was very soft and has given me back ache. Although the room was clean the back of the door was damaged and not good on the eye, there were holes in the bathroom ceiling where it looks like a pull cord switch has been removed and not be repaired to look good. When I walked into the room it was cold and the receptionist told me the heating was on a timer and would come on at 4 which didn’t happen as I checked by turning the thermostatic valve on the radiator . When I was going out for the evening the late shift receptionist said the heating comes on about 5 - 515 but if it didn’t come on they would supply a heater. I arrived back just before 4am. The room felt warmer but again the radiator was cold so not sure if the heating had switched off by this time. I feel customers should be able to control when they have heating by adjusting radiators and not have heating dictated by the hotel.
Warm welcome & comfortable room in lovely village. Very good breakfast
There wasn’t anything to dislike although misled by picture of bath when booking the suite which was disappointing not to have.
Car park was spacious and safe. The reception and bar area was very attractive although we didn't use it.
A dingy little room up two flights of narrow stairs. The stair area was very dark and I didn't see that before you went up the first staircase, there was a step down which I stumbled down. Low beams which I hit my head on one of them and split my head. I must say that having seen photographs on the hotel website, our room didn't come anywhere close to what we expected. Very disappointed.
Lovely friendly and welcoming staff, fab with my toddler. Comfortable room
Couldn't get WiFi in our room (they did let us know this may be the case)
Staff were amazing, very friendly and the room was fantastic
Nothing
Period property with home comforts. Extremely friendly staff who were really helpful.
Wasn’t as clean as I would have expected in the room and bathroom. Paint peeling from the wall but it is an old property.
The mattress. Could just spend the weekend in it.
The calmness and cleanliness and facilities - a quirky set- up with a combination of cottages

The food
Sloping floor in bathroom
It was central to where I needed to be. A nice set of converted cottages with a beautiful peaceful garden by our room.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Food and breakfast were very good.
Furnishings were good and bed very comfortable.
Not totally suitable for people with disabilities. Could do with replacing baths with walk in showers.
Such friendly staff. Hi to Hannah and James who looked after everyone so well in the evening and the lovely lady who works so hard at breakfast time. The food is great and lots of drink options in them bar. Good sized rooms and good showers.
Cheerful and friendly staff, good dinner and breakfast
