Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Breakfast and the pub dinner were all great. If anything there was too much food! The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

Parking can be a right squeeze but we were visiting off season so didn't have any issues

The Tors is a perfect base for Dartmoor walking enthusiasts.
Pros:

The peaceful and picturesque location of the property was its main highlight for me. The staff were very friendly, the bed was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was substantial.

Cons:

The room was clean and had everything I needed, but the decor and furnishings were a little tired and dated. Wall-to-wall carpet around the toilet was a very unusual and old-fashioned design choice - and not altogether hygienic.

A little gem in Devon
Pros:

We had such a lovely 4-day stay at The Tors Inn. From the moment we arrived, the team welcomed us and treated us like family, which made us feel right at home. The hospitality was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the room was cozy and very clean.

The location is beautiful, with stunning walks right on the doorstep (perfect for anyone who loves nature and exploring the outdoors).

We really enjoyed our time here and already miss it. We’ll definitely be back. :)

Pros:

Die Lage ist absolut fantastisch. Ich habe die Spaziergänge mit dem Hund direkt vom Pub weg sehr genossen und der Ausblick dort ist einfach sagenhaft.
Das Essen ist hervorragend und auch das Frühstück ist wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet.

Cons:

Es gibt nichts zu reklamieren. Es waren heiße Tage und von daher war das Zimmer sehr heiß. Es muss einem klar sein, dass man über einem Pub wohnt. Mich hat der Lärm durchs offene Fenster abends nicht gestört und pünktlich um 11pm ist ja dann auch Schluss.

Pros:

Very nice and clean place. They are providing everything necessary for leaving including the hair dryier and coffe with the kettle. The people are lovely there and breakfast amazing. The location is just georgeous. I loved my time at Tors. Highly recommend

Comfort and welcome in an historic inn.
Pros:

Historic inn set centrally in town. The rooms have been nicely renovated. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Place provides for locals having a good time.

Cons:

Fire doors are noisy- food prices are slightly elevated compared to other eateries around but portion sizes are also larger.

Great place to stay on Dartmoor
Pros:

This was the second time we have stayed at The Tors. The location is both beautiful and convenient, the food is great (highly recommend the Beef and Blue pie) and the staff are friendly and helpful. On our second night, our son decided he wanted to join us at the last minute and it was no trouble to make up the put-you-up in our family room and provide an additional (excellent) breakfast.

Cons:

A minor issue but there was an problem with our shower door. It did get looked at but the fault was not resolved (one of us got stuck!) - a more permanent solution is probably needed.

It is a great place with everything we needed, very clean and comfy . The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. If you enjoy a beautiful walk with a scenic view the the tors is perfectly located

Lovely stay in Belstone
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at the Tors. Staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful. My room was nice with a very comfortable bed and I liked the pub being just downstairs. I'm not sure, but if the weather had been better I think I may have had views of Dartmor. It was misty however, so I'm not sure.

Cons:

What's not to like? Everything was perfect!
