Un superbe accueil de Ramish dans un endroit idyllique! Merci pour sa super bonne cuisine et sa bienveillance.
Les chambres sont rustiques, il ne faut pas être très maniaque, mais elles sont bien équipées (climatisation, ventilation, moustiquaires).

We got a free upgrade: three rooms with balcony and that was lovely: the great view, the refreshing wind (you don‘t need airco here), donkeys walking by and Singalees families enjoying the weekend. The best was Ramesh and his team! He did not only make sure we got everything we wanted during our stay, but also helped organizing our activities before, during and after our stay without any financial benefit (Wilpattu, kitesurfing and negombo boat tour) - just because he is a great host! We already miss his care and great humor!
Ramesh is continously improving this small paradise. So just ask him if something bothers you: I didn‘t sleep well on the mattrass and he changed it immediately. Then i slept perfectly!
Location is lovely, just a few meters from the beach by the ocean and the lagoon. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, we booked the most basic room and it had a comfortable bed and private bathroom. We only stayed two nights but I got the impression they would organise kite surfing, boat trips or safaris if you were staying longer.

Un endroit où il est facile de déconnecter du brouhaha et ce à - de 40 m de l'océan. Une gentillesse incroyable qui m'a touché au coeur. Si vous avez besoin d'organiser des activités comme des tours, kitesurf etc... Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Merci pour tout Ramesh !
Pas grand chose. Peut-être juste le fait qu'une de nos 2 chambres avait une lumière très sombre moins pratique pour lire mon livre le soir.

Our AC room cost us 7000 rupees and we had to get another room without noticing them on the day we arrived there. There were 2 double rooms available and they changed us 7500/= for a double room (5p people stayed in the AC room for 7000 and it was comfortable)
New room they gave us was very uncomfortable and 2 of my friends didn't sleep that night due to heat (there is no AC and AC until cannot be installed there)
If that AC room cost 7000 on booking I would say that 2nd room's value is around 4000.
They overcharged us.
Location is great though its not at the edge of the water but few steps back. The crue is professional and making sure your needs are take care of. Food is absolutely on next level. When I needed a ride to Kalpitiya city, Kalpitiya Lagoon or just a ride to a near by the ATM, I jumped on the back seat of the scooter. Any request wasn't too much for the Scoop Cabana crue. Price wise, it is a great place value per money and I have stayed there for a full month

My best stay in the country and one of the best in my extensive travels in Asia! Room was basic but adequate, nice view of ocean from balcony, 1 minute walk to swimming beach. Host and staff were very very nice. I was able to get good custom meals delivered to my balcony. Host purchased drinking water and gin and tonic supplies in town for me. And he booked dolphin tours at approx $20 less than web price I found. And he took me to a shop in town to get my duffle bag repaired. All staff were pleasant and always smiling. A wonderful stay and I wish I had been able to stay longer than 5 nights.
Minor issue is that squirrels can get in room and tore open a bag of snacks.

Amazing stay ! The location is just a few meters from the beach, the rooms are simple but very clean and confortable and the staff is super friendly and always there to help ! Also the breakfast was big and very tasty, as well as the meals ! I would recommend Scoop cabana without hesitation
