Dental Floss in Bed
Pros:

The history of the hotel and the donkey visiting the bar.

Cons:

The room we stayed in smelled musty. Curtains didn't completely cover the windows. Right next to highway. Old bed linen. Bathroom so tiny that you couldn't dress in it. I found dental floss in our bed which obviously meant that the linen was not changed after the previous guest. Breakfast was slices of cheap white bread, yoghurt, artificial juice, no cheese, no tomatoes. Eggs (both my husband and I ordered medium) waitress proudly came and asked who ordered the hard en who ordered the soft eggs. After telling her we both ordered medium she just stood there and didn't budge. I understand this is not a 5 star hotel but by all means this is definitely not even a 2 star hotel. My husband mentioned at checking out about the dental floss, no real reaction and when he suggested that they should mention to guests that the stable rooms are right next to the highway, the lady replied that she couldn't stop the trucks. Not at all what he said. I would suggest go there for a drink in the pub but if you like clean rather stay somewhere else.

Pros:

Staff where friendly and hotel had a lot of character and charm

Cons:

Very cold inside except for the bar area. Fires and gas fires were not lite. Too cold to eat breakfast in the dining room

Everything was excellent

The staff there were excelled. the lady at reception going out of her way to move us to a bigger room with more space. the restaurant staff very friendly and the food were excellent. i will stay there any time again.
