Perfect stay for rest and relaxation.
Pros:

The location of this accommodation prompted our choice. We wanted 2 nights relaxing prior to travelling to Tokyo. This hotel hit the mark. Bed was comfortable. Room had traditional tatami mats and paper divider screens. We had a patio outside which gave us a beautiful view of Mt Fuji, the reason we booked this. Obviously the weather may affect this view. The private Onsen was an absolute boost for us as Hubby has tattoos and could not go into others we were near. We booked 2 slots a day for 40/50 minutes. This allowed us to shower and enjoy the baths. There is no shower in the room, there is a toilet and sink. This was no issue as the hotel is small and there is no problem getting into use the onsen area.
Close to all local amenities about 10-15 minutes walk to lake side area with restaurants and shops. We had car hire so cannot comment on local transportation but the bus stop is next to lake.

Cons:

The onsen’s decor was a bit tired and roof leaked when it rained. I hope they update the maintenance as it would be shame for this to get worse through lack of repair. Did not stop us using the area.

Pros:

Beautiful views, lovely onsen, spacious room

Cons:

Not a very welcoming atmosphere, no breakfast, a lot of rules which make the guest feel as if they are inconveniencing the property by being there.

Pros:

Schöne Aussicht auf den Mt. Fuji! Toller Garten und alles sehr sauber. Lage war sehr zentral und dennoch ruhig.

Cons:

Timeslots für Dusche/Onsen - bei unserer Ankunft waren viele Zeitslots schon belegt uns daher mussten wir unseren Tag sehr anpassen. Auch die Check-In Zeit war nicht sehr flexibel.

A peaceful and memorable birthday stay with breathtaking Mt. Fuji views, made even better by a relaxing private onsen.
Pros:

Stayed at Hatago Tsubakiya for my birthday and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. The view of Mt. Fuji from my room was breathtaking, I woke up to it and just couldn’t stop staring. Everything felt so peaceful. The room was very clean and really comfortable, and having a private onsen made it even more special. It was so relaxing… exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday. Definitely a place I’d come back to 🤍

Cons:

The only thing to note is that the private onsen needs a reservation, so it’s better to come early if you want more time options. Also, when I came back to pick up my luggage, the staff seemed a bit busy with cleaning so the service wasn’t as accommodating as when I checked in 😆

Belle expérience au pied du mont Fuji
Pros:

Nous avons adoré notre passage dans ce petit établissement avec la vue sur FujiSan depuis la chambre. L’atmosphère du lieu offre une belle expérience avec un onsen privatif très apprécié. L’hôte a été d’une extrême gentillesse.

Pros:

Belle vue depuis la chambre sur le Mt Fuji même si la nature n'était pas à plein potentiel en avril. Le Onsen privé était très sympa quand vous pouviez le réserver. La chambre est également très belle et très spacieuse.

Cons:

La salle de bain commune : nous n'avons pas trouvé de salle de bain en dehors des 2 onsens privatifs, ce qui veut dire que si ils ont été réservés par tous les autres invités (créneaux de 40 min par chambre), vous ne pouvez pas simplement vous doucher. Également le lit n'était pas si confortable.
