Exceptional Support: The owner, Pramit, provided end-to-end support, from organizing my Mustang tour vehicle to giving perfect local advice on shopping and dining.
• Emergency Care: The staff truly cares about safety; they stayed in constant contact and provided guidance when my friend suffered from altitude sickness (AMS).
• Warm Atmosphere: Manager Karuna and the rest of the team are incredibly kind and always greet guests with a genuine smile.
• Authentic Connection: It doesn't feel like a cold business transaction; the hospitality is so personal that you leave feeling like you’ve made lifelong friends.

Cons:

Too Short of a Stay: Since I only stayed for two nights, I didn't have enough time to fully enjoy the hotel's atmosphere and the hospitality of the team.
• Emotional Goodbye: It was genuinely difficult to leave because the staff treated me so much like family.

Great place close to Thamel, with a good kitchen just outside the entrance.
Pros:

Thamel Grand Hotel is located right at the beginning of the tourist mecca Thamel, but still so secluded that it is a fairly quiet area, at least I experienced no direct disturbances during my stay there. Directly adjacent to the hotel is a restaurant (The Black Olive) with (in my opinion) a good kitchen, I ate most of the meals at that restaurant during my stay at Thamel Grand Hotel there. In addition, you can buy breakfast vouchers at an attractive price at Thamel Grand Hotel which you can then redeem at the mentioned restaurant, where you can choose between seven (7) different breakfast options.

The staff was absolutely wonderful, always friendly and service-minded, always greeting me regardless of whether I was on my way in or out of the hotel. Although I appreciated the staff as a whole very much, I still want to especially highlight "bahini" Karuna Baniya. She was so incredibly warm and welcoming (as the Nepalese generally are), but I still took a special liking to her.

Karuna Baniya, if you're reading this, you should know that I have a special eye for you 😉😊🙏.

Cons:

The bed was to hard for my liking, but this seems to be the norm in Nepal, not only in Thamel Grand Hotel.

Agradable estancia
Pros:

El hotel está muy bien ubicado. Es cómodo y estaba muy limpio. El baño es agradable. Uno de los mejores que hemos tenido en Nepal y el agua de la ducha calentita. El personal muy amable. Así que todo perfecto. Y teníamos una terraza muy chula a nuestra disposición para estar de chill.

Cons:

Nada. Todo bien. Buenas relación calidad precio. Solamente que no hay ascensor. Si no puedes subir escaleras pide la primera planta!

Frühstück gibt es im angrenzenden Restaurant. Das Essen dort ist sehr gut.
Das Hotel ist gut gelegen/ liegt am Rande des Touristenzentrums Thamel.
Sehr nettes Personal.

Cons:

Das Bett war leider sehr hart.
Mein Zimmer war recht dunkel, da ich direkt gegenüber eine Hauswand hatte. Am besten nach einem Zimmer mit Balkon fragen.
Außerdem ist das Haus recht hellhörig. Man hört alles vom Flur aus. Ohrstöpsel sind dringend zu empfehlen.
Das Zimmertürschloss ist nicht sehr sicher.

Pros:

It was our second time in Thamel Grand Hotel and we liked it as much as the first time. It’s a great place! The rooms are spacious and clean and location is perfect.
But our most favourite thing about the place is the staff. Bibek and Karunae are so so so nice, friendly and helpful, and they are also always up for a little joke :) we are definitely coming back :)
