Gemütlich & mit tollem Ausblick
Pros:

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit auf der Isle of Mull in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, warm und gemütlich. Der Ausblick in die Tobermory Bay hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Die Nutzung des Gemeinschaftsbades erfolgte mit den Gästen aus einem weiteren Zimmer und verlief problemlos. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, mit großer Auswahl. Alles war super organisiert und das Personal sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Da wir die Fähre früh morgens erreichen mussten, wurde uns für den zweiten Tag statt Frühstück eine Tüte mit Saft, Obst, Joghurt, Riegeln und Croissants zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten!

Budget room with very budget feel
Pros:

Location on Tobermory High Street

Cons:

Was in top floor of the hotel's annexe. Bathroom was cold. No heater in room to adjust temperatures. Very basic bedroom, which felt like hostel rather than hotel. Was disappointed with quality of the room.
No coffee served in evening. Was told they only do coffee at lunchtime.

Pros:

Just awesome stuff. I got upgraded to a room with a harbour view, which was just awesome. Great staff, too, especially the receptionist (who upgraded me) and the atrist/barman from Aberdeen, who paints like Rembrandt but whose name escapes me..

Cons:

Nothing. It was great. The TV was a bit small, but that was hardly a problem

Could be a Lovely Little Hotel
Pros:

The hotel was well placed on the waterfront.
The room was clean.
The breakfast was good.
The wifi worked well for our phones and the television.

Cons:

The room was on the second floor. The only evacuation route was via the single main staircase, which had no fire doors between the ground floor and the top floor. The room doors were not fireproof nor were they smoke-sealed. I did not feel this was safe, even though it may have complied with regulations.
There were no fire instructions in the room.
The laminate floor in the room was cold and unwelcoming.
The only heating in the room was an electric wall heater. This was complicated to operate and there were no instructions. However, it was effective.
The floor sloped, not unusual in a building of that age, however the drawers on the dresser kept opening randomly because of the slope and we had to jam them closed with folded paper.
The mattresses were extraordinarily hard. It would have been no less comfortable to have slept on the floor.
Some of the lights did not work.
The shower was effective and as warm as we wanted but the shower head sprayed water in all directions on every setting. This needs attention or replacement.
There was no welcome booklet.

Perfect location to explore Tobermory from and super cosy and comfortable!
Pros:

Breakfast, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Perfect to relax and great base to explore Tobermory from.

Cons:

Some of breakfast was a little cold but that’s probably because we chose a later slot. Some stains on bedding but we didn’t mind at all!

Great cebtral place to stay
Pros:

Great location and comfortable rooms with excellent shower.

Cons:

Breakfast set up was a bit chaotic, didn’t seem to matter if booked your time or not, do people really need to bring dogs to breakfast - if so they might be seated at a table where they are not at risk of tails being stood on.
