Basic but comfortable. Great shower. Great if you want a bed in a room with an electric blanket.

Pros:

It had the basics well covered; clean, and tidied with new linen made available which was a nice surprise; layout was practical, nice to have the wee breakfast bar for food prep and working, decent shower.

It is tired; well past needing a revamp which would make it much more pleasant.

The staff that I saw were lovely. The person I checked in with at the bar was friendly and professional. Checking out was easy. The pub attached closed early so I didn't have an issue with noisy bar patrons.

Cons:

There were a few housekeeping issues, one of which I brought up with the person who came around to do the cleaning the next morning.
