Exceptional, the staff were fantastic and friendly and couldn’t do enough and the food and ambiance were also top flight

Inconsiderate place. Not happy at all
Pros:

Decent rooms and decent views. The property boasts of dhuladhar mountain view but it isn't so clear as the trees obstruct it. There was a party going on during our stay which was too noisy and we had to wake up early the next day. It was too inconsiderate. The approach road is also very bad ao becareful if ur driving

Pros:

The best thing there was a beautiful view from the balcony.

Cons:

I choose this hotel because of the jacuzzi on the room balcony. I washed the Jacuzzi, filled it with water. Then when I lay in it and turned on the water jets, clumps of dirt and a terrible smell came out of them. This was really very unpleasant experience. Also hotel armchairs were totally dirty, both in the room and at the restaurant.

Bed was broken and had to move rooms to one without a view, that was a shame as we had a fabulous view in original room.

Nice quiet place in the woods. Beautiful property.
Pros:

Food was recent and the location was nice and quiet. The property is very beautiful.

Cons:

Frankly, I was a bit apprehensive before my visit. My phone calls to confirm my reservation went unanswered. They also required me to pay a 50% deposit prior to arrival which was not what I was told on booking.com. They never confirmed my deposit until I reached, causing me a bit of anxiety. I think they could improve in the way they respond to phone calls. I also wonder why they required a deposit prior to arrival even though booking.com said it was not necessary. I think that could be improvement in this area.

Beautiful property and view, it was too loud and remote for my trip.
Pros:

The property was beautiful, the staff very helpful, it was clean, and the view was great. The breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Cons:

Despite their policy with Booking that payment was due on arrival, the manager repeatedly sent me messages 2 months in advance that I needed to pay 50%, or they would cancel the reservation. I spoke to Booking several times and they assured me that they cannot cancel the booking and they would talk to the property manager. Despite this, the requests for payment and threats to cancel continued. In retrospect, I wish I had cancelled.

There is no privacy with a balcony. The patios with tubs are very loud. My room was between two rooms with tubs. The people used it like a hot tub, having many loud people on the balcony.

The distance from MccleodGanje and Dharamshala is significant. $6 taxi, 20-25 minsto mcleodganje and $12, 30-40 mins to the airport, the hotel is VERY remote.

Lastly, I ate dinner in the restaurant several times. My second to last night I became very I’ll from the food.

Comfortable and we made it fun as nothing was going to spoil our holiday.
Pros:

Beautiful property and location.
It was clean and lovely.

Cons:

The service was very slow and the staff didn’t seem to like to smile. It was like we were a burden to them - such a shame.

I had to keep calling house keeping for towels and other items as there were 4 of us but the room was only set up for 3 people. There were no extra toiletries and toilet paper, these were not replaced and I had to keep requesting!
