Spacious area as we took suite
Furniture quite old. Some infra did not function properly - cabinets door, vy little cloth hanger, shower head, water heater (2nd room), poor collection of rubbish and extremely imited lift (we had to climb up the staircase to 6th floor cos we waited too long for the lift, too many people).)
Location: Outstanding, located directly in front of the Prophet's Mosque, making it convenient for, especially for elderly guests.
Rooms: Rooms are described as modern, clean, and well-equipped with amenities like tea/coffee facilities and nice lighting.
Parking: No free parking for hotel guests. It took time to get a parking space because of the busy road. We had to register first and pay for the parking on the first floor before being allowed to park our vehicle.
Prophet mosque was just outside and it was convenient to go to the mosque.
Property was not value for money, I paid £400 for 3 nights. I requested an extra bed which property email me back that they will provide us but when I arrived they charged me another 385 riyals at the property but bed was not even a proper bed. It was like a bench which they taken out in front of us from underneath the other bed. Mattress was so bed that even I got a back pain from that mattress. Pillows has marks of vomits and they tried to cover up by putting the new pillow cover. The worse part was house keeping stolen £100 pounds from my wallet when I went to the prayer as I asked only for the toilet roll to put in my room.
الموظف عبد الملك مررة عسل و اخلاقو عالية محظوظين فيه و اقامتنا كانت حلوة من تعاملو العسل
Just the location was good.
The elevators, all this building has just 3 elevators 2 of them working one out of order runin late.
The beds were uncomfortable and the shower was cracked it was licking.
Location
AC doesn’t work in multiple rooms. Mine was 1044. So be sure to avoid that room. Staff is extremely arrogant and rude. Multiple people were complaining about AC (as it was almost 30 degree Celsius there) but instead of fixing the issue they started getting angry that why people are complaining. Apparently there supposed to be 24 hour front desk, but if you ask them to do anything they would make you feel that you have put them in an extreme discomfort and instead of doing their job they will act like they are doing you some favor. I had to complain almost 10 times about my AC but to no avail. Then I spent 2.5 hours on call with booking dot com support (who were equally unhelpful as they kept saying we have contacted the property and they will respond in 48 hours. Obviously they never respond and if you are only there for 48 hrs then good luck to you). After 2.5 hrs booking dot com finally agreed that they will communicate to the property to either fix the issue or check us out and give refund. Upon which we were relocated to another room after staying in miserable heat for 2 days.
My advice: Take screenshot of all the facilities being promised upon your booking (including a working AC lol), pay with a credit card which offers purchase protection and record evidence of what was not provided so that you have some hope of getting your money back. Otherwise, they absolutely do not care and you will end up paying super luxury prices for a facility which does not have a working air condition. To make matters worse, booking dot com will ask you to take the picture of the “hot air” somehow in the room and share it as evidence, which I am not sure how one can do.
