Cons:

I stayed here for one night during a road trip and unfortunately the experience was mixed, with several issues that should be addressed.
On arrival, I was initially given a room that did not match the one I had reserved. To their credit, when I raised this, staff responded and moved me to the correct room, which I appreciated.
However, the condition of both rooms was below expected standards. There were clear cleanliness and maintenance issues, including black mould in the bathroom (window sill and ceiling), spider webs above the bed, and visible dirt and grime on fittings. The mattress was also very uncomfortable, with springs noticeable throughout the night.
WiFi was another problem. Although it appeared to connect, there was often no actual internet access, both upstairs and even downstairs at times. This made the “smart TV” unusable and was frustrating, especially as there is limited mobile signal in the area.
While the staff did make an effort to resolve the room allocation issue, the overall condition of the accommodation suggests a lack of consistent cleaning and maintenance.
Given the location and potential of the property, this is disappointing. With better upkeep and reliable WiFi, this could be a much more enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, in its current state, I would not choose to stay here again.

Pros:

Great host. Even if I couldn't stay for breakfast, he left for me scones and jam in my room. Rome was clean and ready for me before checking in:).

Cons:

The first night was a little cold, but later on it was great and cozy.

Comfort at a great price.
Pros:

Very clean and so comfortable. As I left early before breakfast each day the staff left a scone and jam for me. The location is excellent and I will definitely stay there again. Very good value. Fresh towels and a bottle of water left for me too. A relaxing stay.

Cons:

Nothing, everything was perfect.
