Traditional Japanese home, beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, lovely community, close to conveniences and the train station. I was there without a vehicle and didn’t have a problem, though I enjoy some walking.
My neck is used to a softer pillow. I don’t see that as a big issue. The location and facility were great.
We chose to visit Mount Fuji on a sunny day. On a dry day, the bedding in the room was damp, and the room was filled with dust that made it difficult to breathe. The dried flowers and plants smelled musty, causing allergies for several days. The modern kitchen was nice, and the cherry blossom tree in front of the house was also lovely. Hopefully, the cleanliness can be improved.
Absolutely beautiful and spacious, traditional house
Excellent size for a small group
Nothing, it was great
Good location very central fujiyoshida.
It is a very big and outdated house so it wasn't very well cleaned. Level 2 toilet had paper in it when we checked in. The hot water kettle wasn't working during our stay. Cobwebs everywhere.
We visited when the weather was around 6-15 degres celcius, heating was insufficient and it was very cold at night. Especially if you had to go to the bathroom the pathway has no heating. There were some kerosene heaters provided but they cannot be used for long periods especially not overnight.
There was no wardrobe space, so we couldn't even find proper place to hang our towels. Use of washing machine powder required 100 yen.
The design
Nothing
Peccato
Big space for groups
Power tripping. cannot use the washer and dryer simultaneously without getting power interruption. Heater in rooms too low. Laundry detergent isn’t free. Front yard appears to be broken
You have a Japanese traditional house just for you!! Very comfortable, with a lot of space, and conveniently close to the train station. Despite the house being exceptional, the highlight is how well located it is to get a perfect view of Fuji!
Casa grande e accogliente.
We stayed a total of 4 nights in late November 2025. It was cold, about 5-10 degrees C, but the heaters provided were sufficient. The location of this charming traditional house was easy to find on Google maps, and close to scenic spots. We drove there and were able to park a car right in front of the house. We wake up each morning to the view of Mt Fuji, which is amazing!
The facilities were a little rundown. For instance, broken chairs at the front patio. A few heaters caused a power trip in our stay, which can be a bit scary. There was also lots of dust around the house, esp on the horizontal wooden planks on the doors. I would have loved a few more heaters around the house.
Beautiful, 2-storey spacious traditional Japanese house with so many shoji doors and corridors we could almost get lost! 😄 Very clean and beautifully styled. The kitchen has all you might need. The bedroom (main on the first floor) was amazing and very big and futon beds were very comfortable. Spacious traditional bathroom with separate toilets. There's a heat pump/ac, as well as room heaters if it gets a bit cool. Gorgeous views of the mount Fuji and neighborhood. There is self check-in, which was pretty easy to go through.
We stayed at the end of October, and it was pretty chilly outside. So it was a bit cold inside the house too. But we turned on the heat pumps and room heaters, and it warmed up nicely. Also, in the email there was an instruction for self check-in in the dinning room. And all shoji were closed. So we had some hard times finding the dinning room haha 😅 So for the future guests, I would suggest having that shoji open. Especially for those who might have never been or stayed in a traditional Japanese house before.
