Service in restaurant and bar
Tv could not watch any channel
Bath hot water was only tepid
No lift . Difficult for elderly people to manage with luggage as the room was at the top of the building.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the restaurant is excellent
The room was right at the front opposite a large pub which was open late and the peoploe outside were quite noisy
Its central position, the quality of the food and of the staff (but see below,is re the young bar staff) - I had breakfasts and one Sunday lunch., all excellently served. Two members of the cleaning staff whom I met were very good.
Not easy for people like me who have painful legs (I have replacement knees)
The bedrooms were 2 flights up (but in such a beautiful Georgian building I didn’t expect a lift!). But my late husband would have been unable to get up to a bedroom.
The only thing that I really didn’t like was yesterday evening when I came in with my Chichester friend, who wanted to see Purchases, and we went to the bar for a gin and tonic each. The only seating available for two footsore women in their 70s was high bar stools: they looked very nice, but simply not suitable for our age group. We really had to insist that we were permitted to sit down at a dining room table, but the young people manning the bar seemed to be interested only in when the tables were booked for evening meals, and not in our predicament at all This was very different from the excellent standard and service of the women who served breakfasts.
It was in a very good location, lovely bar and restaurant with tasteful decor and ambiance. Our room was room 1 top floor but we are fine with stairs. Large room with en-suite shower which was clean, warm and comfortable.
Only thing was they didn’t have onsite parking but a public car park wasnt too far.
Very central
Good superb!
No parking but we were obviously aware of that prior to booking
The location was great, it’s very central and perfect for exploring Chichester. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Charlotte. The breakfast was excellent too.
Can’t think of anything to dislike, perhaps some might find the stairs up to the bedrooms a challenge, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
Big spacious room, comfortable large bed, great shower.

Loved this property. Absolute bargain would stay again.
Location was very good
Bar area has an air of sophistication
Restaurant area is refined
Entrance to Rooms show signs of neglect to carpets. Boutique superior deluxe bedroom we were allocated was warn and in need of updating and freshening. Website showed Superior deluxe room having a bath within the bedroom but there was no bath at all in the room only a small shower. Water pressure was poor. No air -conditioning. View from window was over a flat roof and back of a scruffy courtyard. Coffee machine had not been maintained so did not work correctly. Breakfast service was great, but poached eggs were un-cooked and unedable. I messaged at time of booking to inform staff this was my wife's birthday and didn't get acknowledge even by way of a response. A very disappointing experience for what was ment to be a special weekend for my wife's 55th Birthday celebration.
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Location perfect. Breakfast extremely good. Room better than expected, decent size, lovely shower and well decorated. Pre theatre Dinner at the restaurant amazing!
Nothing
The room was beautiful, spacious and cozy. The breakfast was immaculate and the staff were very courteous.
Location and breakfast great. Price was high only because my birthday coincided with Goodwood festival of speed so demand was extra high
No air conditioning
Fabulous bed linen
I would of expected larger bath towels, a choice of a pastry for breakfast & a hairdryer that didn’t over heat for £200 a night! No parking either!
Staff were really lovely, very cheery and helpful in every respect and that’s what makes a good stay. The room was spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast was good, everything was clean and their were no issues with noise or disturbance at all despite being in a city centre.
Pillows slightly firmer and they clearly need a harder-wearing carpet on the stairs.
