Quiet village and lovely breakfast.
Room was dark and noisy from other guests. Need to go into Chippenham for food and drink.Pub closed.
Awful customer service from the start.
Booked, only to receive an email saying the pub and restaurant were closed. Kept the reservation as I had booked with a non cancellation clause.
I ended up leaving the accommodation due to being unclean, unkept, and not safety conscious.
The room was extremely hot (due to the heatwave which couldn't be helped) - when I asked for a fan it was awful.
I went to reception, the ring door bell was answered, explained I wouldn't be staying due to the room and standards. Was told via the intercom "okay sorry about that, leave the key on the box" - no one even came to see me.
Had to find alternative accommodation that evening - stressful.
I messaged and asked for a refund, and although it was granted, I was shocked by the response. I was told the fan was their personal one, so they were doing me a favour lending it me and therefore it didn't need to be PACT tested as it's for them in their home not the B&B ... I was then told I was placed in the room I was because the door was a barn type door, that opened in two, and they thought I could just leave the top half of the door open. I was staying as a single female for a night due to work - this is unacceptable, unsafe and a horrendous thing to suggest someone does.
They have a sign on the pub saying "closed due to personal circumstances and a lack of good hospitality staff", I believe they have given up with the whole concept and should close the B&B if they aren't going to keep it up to an acceptable standard but still charge the going rate.
The location is fantastic and the breakfast was adequate, staff are fantastic and friendly.
The location is central to a number of local attractions.
Very friendly accommodating hosts. Lovely breakfast, cute little cottage style rooms.
Maybe fans in the rooms for those extra hot days. But to be honest weather was extreme.
Convenient location. Good size rooms. Good breakfast. Welcoming hosts.
It was very hot weather and the attic rooms were very hot and difficult to cool down. Now whether this was due to insufficient insulation is difficult to know.
This was a lovely find. The host, Helen, was kind, funny and exceptionally helpful. The room had an adjoining sitting rooms and was clean and capacious.
Toilet flush was problematical but was scheduled to be fixed.
The room was spacious and the double bed was fantastic. My wife and I slept like logs! The shower was strong and hot and the room was very clean. I enjoyed the full English breakfast and my wife enjoyed the salmon and scrambled eggs. However, if you are expecting Premier Inn portions you may be disappointed.
The hosts (husband and wife) were very friendly and welcoming.
The TV was a bit on the small size but apart from that everything else was great for us!
Location was a nice quiet village and we had a very nice breakfast.
It was a shame the bar and restaurant wasn't open as it seemed a very nice pub, but we were informed of this before our visit.
It’s a lovely old cottage beautifully converted into a bed and breakfast venue
Good to have a nice cooked breakfast
This characterful building is in the centre of a delightful village in the peaceful Wiltshire countryside. There’s birdsong, blackbirds, wood pigeons, swifts, with narrow country lanes to wander. Excellent breakfast and a lovely welcome from diligent kind hosts. Staying 5 nights I was delighted to be upgraded to a spacious flat, with beamed ceilings and comfy chairs. Plenty of parking for all visitors. Across the street was a local café offering lunches and a takeaway service.
Beautiful location, lovely hosts, and a very comfortable night’s sleep.
The owners were very friendly , the room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent
Handy place to stay near Chippenham. Stayed in the apartment which was basic but roomy. Easy parking. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced.
Bit isolated. Need a car to access. No eateries in village but plenty of good places to eat in Chippenham.
